Keyboard Issues

My husband's wireless keyboard has spontaniously decided not to work. I already tried the batteries, checked (uninstalled, reinstalled, updated, etc) the driver and its there and working. Sometimes, after reinstalling, it works, albiet slowly and it takes a few hits of a key to get it to register and type it. I'm stumped esspecially since the driver checks out. Any ideas?

Does the receiver base have any lights that identify when a signal has been received?
What kind of keyboard is it anyways?

Logitech Media Keyboard MX Duo

The receiver indicates a signal. I tried swapping his and mine and mine works on his computer (we have the same kind of keyboard). Is it possible it just wore out?

It's possible. I have first hand experience with these things being kinda flaky. Both mine and my best friend's keyboards started sporadically losing signal and stuff like that. I'd exchange it if possible.

It's at least 2 years old... I don't think we can trade it in.

You might as well just buy a new one. It looks like some random hardware has worn out, and considering they don't really design these things to be user-serviceable, there's really not much that can be done, unless you would like to break out a multimeter and start verifying connections and component values. =P
