Gothic 1 and Gothic 2
 

Has anyone played these amazing RPG's that were orginally made in Germany. THey are pretty large RPG's with somewhat linear but very open at the same time. HUGE IMMERSSIVE world with NPCS that all have voices and actually live their lives an such. They are both amazing and the third one is coming out in september hopefully and I can't wait. So yeah just curious if anyone else has played with and/or loved them as much as I have. Heres a link to IGN's site about the 3rd one.

I love this series and I'm really anticipating the third one. I think the storyline for the first one is great, you can make many choices, but yes they all eventually lead to the same thing. Which btw did you ever get the alternate ending for the first? I read there were but never got to see them myself.

I picked up Gothic 2 for $9 as part of my bargain gamer rampage. :D

Gothic 2 is supposed to be better than one, and can now be found packaged with the expansion pack for $10. Quite a good deal.

Meh, Gothic 2 can be better than the first in some aspects. (graphic wise)
But I prefer the first one, just something about being a convict and the whole mining colony thing really got me into it.
