You aren't planning to put that IDE controller in this bitchin' system are you? :/

For the price of the motherboard and CPU, I would have gone Intel Core2 Duo. Way better bang for the buck.

The rest are good choices! :)

However, if you want SLI, then the system you got is fine. Not too bad of picks, though I would have gotten a 4200 X2 or maybe a 3800 X2 and overclocked it a bit. That would mean that I could've picked up a 7950GT or something at least a bit better than the GS.

The IDE controller card is just temporary, so I can throw in my older harddrives. Once I have the appropriate funds, I'll be upgrading them and loosing the card.

We went AMD because I generally prefer them, and its easily upgradable for the future.

And Dayton, SLI is just an added bonus for me. I don't do much in the way of graphics, more of a console gamer then a pc gamer..mainly I use the computer for general tasks, browsing the web, downloading various things, making the occassional dvd, etc. The most extensive thing I really use it for is audio editing..which really means I should've gone mac(or so I'm told). But, the programs I use on the p.c. are more known to me.
