Favorite clothing
apologies if this threads already been done, or is in the wrong place. i still suck at this.
but yea, do you have a favorite article of clothing ? jacket, shirts, pants, socks, shoes, etc ?? (my sister says i need a new wardrobe so anything is cool) if so post a pic or describe. mine...i am a man who loves jackets, or zip-ups. i have a black winter jacket with the biggest hood i've ever seen from H&M. its mad chill. (i'll try and post a pic later) anybody else ? |
I wear T-Shirts all year round... it could be 10 degrees out or 110... I can't wear long sleeves or sleeveless shirts... I like cargo/jean shorts for the summer & baggy/loose-fit jeans for the winter. I'm partial to Old Navy for both shirts and pants and I like Sketchers for my sneakers. I have a baseball-style T-Shirt that I like a lot... it’s my favorite shirt. It's nothing special, just plain gray and black... It's just very comfortable, I guess. Also, I always wear a Yankees hat. I feel naked without my hat on.

T-shirts and loose (but not baggy) pants. Preferably khaki pants. I can't stand tight-fitting clothes, especially blue jeans.
|
I wear shorts in the house 365 days a year. I am very prone to heat and get hot easily. I like basketball shorts and light t-shirts. Usually white T's. Cheap, comfy, love em.
When I go out in the summer I wear shorts, and winter I wear sweat pants and short sleeved shirt with or without a jacket depending on how cold. |
I love cardigans. I have a black cardigan I've had for years that's falling apart at the seams that I just can't let go of. I wish I bought 5 more in all the colors when they were still selling them, that's how much I love it. I have cardigans in every color and am constantly on the hunt for more.
Yes, old lady cardigans. Maybe I'll post pictures later. Eh. |
Jeans, t-shirt, and a button-up over shirt (long or short sleeved) is what my outfit is normally comprised of. Add or subract a top layer and I'm set for just about every day of the year.
I'm a really slim guy, so it's sometimes hard to track down well-fitting clothes without paying the extra dollar (irony). As a result, my wardrobe is a bit limited, but I've been making more and more additions to it since I moved into a larger city. |
I usually wear jeans and a t-shirt, though I do wear button ups and polos from time to time. When it's cold outside, I practically live in sweats and my Cowboys hoodie. I love winter.

I've come to loathe jeans and t-shirts, even though they were my wardrobe constantly for about half of my life thus far.
Underwear is boxers, always. No briefs, no boxer-briefs, nothing but boxers. I just can't stand the thought of a set "package". Freedom, boys! *Ahem* anyway, if I do wear a t-shirt, it's always accompanied by an open button-down shirt, long or short sleves don't matter. Otherwise, a button-down shirt on it's own is fine, though usually a long-sleeved one. Pants are usually slacks of some sort, thogh I do dabble in cargo pants from time to time. I love bandannas. They just feel better, and aren't as hard to find sizes for (I'm a size XL, and surprisingly few stores sell anything above a large, if you can believe that). Though I do love hats; I plan to start a collection of the best hats I can find. If only I can find them in XL, I'd be fine... I have no specific preferance for coats, though I do have this one army jacket I got at Goodwill. Sargeant's stripes. Fits me like a dream, and is perfectly warm. Those things were made damned good. My fashion standards aren't too high. Basically whatever's comfy that doesn't make me look like either a redneck or a gangsta'. Sometimes I like to wear more...unique clothing, but only if I'm in a particular mood. |
It's just simple loose t-shirts, blue jeans, and cheap sneakers for me, though I do have this one zip-up hoodie that I've had for about five years that I still wear every once in a while when it's cool outside. It's a cheap grey one with "USA" on the back that I bought out of necessity because it was really cold and there wasn't much choice. I can't bring myself to get rid of it for some reason.

I love wearing a t-shirt and jeans if I have my preference, but I also do like dressing to the occasion accordingly when appropriate. I'm not going to wear a suit and tie for a poker game with my drinking buddies, but I'll wear something expressive when I go to the singles bar. I don't care to dress to impress, but I do know what dress attire is expected for the place I'm at.
Whatever I wear, it has to be compatable with boxers or commando. I really loathe tightie whities. |
I had a favourite jacket, once. Then when I moved out of the house I was living in, I left it behind. Considering that my former housemate still lives there, I was optimistic about getting it back, but no - it's somehow dissapeared.
I loved that jacket, it was a black leather box jacket, and it fit me so well. It was very plain, and unadorned. Just simply stylish and minimal. I actually owned it for more than 10 years, and it had been repaired on numerous occasions, but it still looked good. I was sorry to lose that jacket. |
I don't do well with the traditional female attire. But I like skirts a lot.
I wear skirts almost every day, now. The kind that falls to my ankles and billows in the wind. BECAUSE I AM A DIRTY HIPPIE. Though I prefer a pair of comfy jeans and a long-sleeved t-shirt under a band t-shirt or something. So yea. If I have nowhere to go and I am just chilling out, I usually just put on some jeans and a t-shirt. I WOULD say my bandana is a wardrobe necessity, but it has a big hole in it now in the worst place. I CAN NO LONGER WEAR IT. ;_; |
I wear a t-shirt and jeans, unless the temperature is in the mid-60's or higher, in which case I'll wear shorts and a t-shirt. I hate long sleeves, so I only wear those when I have to.
|
Jeans or pajama pants (the latter are more comfortable, but slightly less practical with the thin fabric and lack of pockets). A t-shirt, usually with some kick-ass design (like my shirt that has dinosaurs all over it), or maybe a plain button-up shirt, or both.
I generally go barefoot, if I can, but otherwise I wear tennis shoes, sandals if I want to be quick about getting out the door. I like jackets, and especially blazers worn with otherwise casual clothes (like a t-shirt and jeans). I often wear sunglasses. |
I adore baggy comfie clothes.... for the most part i wear sweaters with long skirts....I have a closet full of just those. in winter I will replace the skirts with jeans
|
When I go out I usually wear jeans, t-shirt and always my black hooded jacket (Got 4 or 5 of the same jacket ;) )
At home I dont really care what I got on (who does?), ends up with some lame out of fashion T-shirt, any kind of Soft pants and some socks if im not too lazy. Brand of choice is preferably Nike, Puma is ok too, and 95% of my cloths are either grey or black. I like to keep it clean without big texts or marks on my clothes. |
I love this one sweater I got with a production I was in High School. I hated the play but the sweater is really nice. It's black hoodie with the play's name as the crest and my crew positition on the arm.

I don't have one particualr item of clothing as my favourite. But, I do like to wear baggy t-shirts and jeans. Now I come to think about it though, I do quite like one of my grey t-shirts, nice and baggy, and feels comfortable when I wear it. I guess I could also mention my trainers, Nike Air, most comfortable footwear I have ever had, I could walk for miles in them.
|
I love my plaid jacket. Why? Because sometimes people on campus give me this weird look of whether I am actually a student, or a construction worker.
I just started wearing jeans at the beginning of September and I have to say that I enjoy them quite a bit. |
The only place i shop now basically is american apparel so everything i own from there is my favourite ~

Following pieces of clothing are pretty much essential for me:
- My favourite belt. Black, leather, studs. Looks damn cool and holds my trousers up, but it sucks for airports when I have to take it off and look dumb while I'm trying to prevent my jeans from sagging around my ankles. - An old pair of "painters'" jeans I have which are tattered to shreds and very faded. They've got character. - My red fedora. I can wear it and scream "HEY LOOK I AM A GEEK". - My leather sandals. When I first started wearing them, the straps cut pretty deep into my feet, so now I've got scarring up and down the tops of my feet from that. However, they add about an inch to my height (not that I'm short already), and they're leather. Awesome. - Leather trenchcoat. It's not one of those bland matrix-style button down nothing coats; it's more of an oldstyle coat - Black leather 50s kinda thing. Loads of straps, flaps, pockets and buttons. |
I have a big thing about my knee-high Newrocks. I don't care if they made my feet bleed at first, they make me look taller, and small children leave me alone when I wear them :)
I used to wear worn and torn old Soho's but now I've moved on to regular fit cords for some reason; perhaps a bit more practical and somehow more comfy. My favourite trousers at the moment are pinstripe trousers from Cyberdog. I'm usually wearing a black shirt with that, or a band t-shirt with long sleeves underneath. My favourite jacket is my leather one; I could only describe it as looking akin to the one Thom Yorke is wearing in the "Just" video (that was entirely coincidental as it was a present). I've also got a couple of really expensive items in my wardrobe that I hardly ever wear because I never get the oppertunity. One is a Dark Star dress: http://img162.imageshack.us/img162/5...5746sx1.th.jpg I've got some full length skirt/top combinations that I only wear on birthdays or special occasions as well. |
If I lived in a colder climate I would constantly wear long sleeve band shirts, boots and a leather jacket. I would probably have two kinds, one that's about waist high and the other that's a trench.
|
Blazers and jackets with a similar cut (lapels and buttons, ends at the first knuckle on the hand); leather, wool, or cotton; solid dark earth tones. I just love the flexibility of the blazer. Some are casual enough you can just throw them on over a t-shirt and jeans. I have a two cotton ones, a leather one, and a wool one.
