quick psx emulation problem

I just got a psx emulator and all the bios and such to finaly get it to work. I popped in the .iso for Castlevania SoTN and it works fine but it goes at about 3x the normal speed. Is there any way to change this? I use ePSXe if that makes any diffrence at all. Thanks.

configure your video plugin.
check the boxes... "fps limit" and also check "auto detect fps/frame skipping limit"

I leave auto-detect off and manually set my FPS to 60. You might want to do that JUST IN CASE ePSXe isn't detecting right--I had a problem with that for R4 a while back.

Wow, that was easy. Wish I had thought of that. Thanks a lot it works better now. Now the only problem is that (with Castlevania) I can hear the sound efx but none of the voice or the music. I tried to configure the sound plugin but had no idea what to change. Sorry for another stupid question.

The readme has instructions on how to handle the sound plugin =o Trial & error. Initially, I didn't have any sound or music at points. Fiddle with the options if you're unsure. On a different computer, so I can't give accurate details on steps >_>;

In the sound config, there should be a check box that says "Enable XA Sound". You want to check that.

Yup that and a little trial and error worked. Thanks again and that is all for the stupid questions for a time.
