That was pretty depressing but I agree, Donald would eat that Mr Slicker alive with his garbled slur of rage. Likewise Donald was a naval soldier so he has it going for him XD.

I vaguely recall seeing some Looney Tunes cartoons where some character tried to off himself after some melodrama. This isn't a whole lot different.

Of course, the theme would be generally unacceptable in a children's cartoon today, but times were different in 1930.

This reminds me of those Donald Duck comics I would make in 4th grade. There used to be some program for the MAC by Disney which would allow you to create a comic strip featuring your favorite Disney characters. (At least by whatever characters were existant at the time. There was no Sinbad and such.) So, for fun, the teacher would "let" the students spend some time making a "fun" comic. (When stuff like classwork was all done and so on. "Oh, you finished all your work Jimmy? Go make a "fun" comic!")

Quite a depressing story there. Anyone else notice Mickey's unusual strength? He snapped that anvil right off his neck without even flinching or leaving any marks. That's some toon.
