audio + video sync
So, I recorded my sisters wedding this summer. I digitally recorded audio from the podium and then the video camera (which is analog :() in the choir loft recorded alot of the audio + video. So my intention was to sync them.
I had a friend make the video camera tape into a digital file (put it on a DVD cuz I didn't have a DVD recorder). I checked the total runtime start to finish for both files. There is a 9 second difference! Of course the analog recorder couldn't play it back at the exact speed it was recorded. So, any ideas on how to sync these? (by like cutting a milisecond here or there or something) or is it not worth my time (I.E. I should just use the audio and video from the 6 milimeter camera? THanks, Joseph |
So why not use VirtualDub or something?

Because I've never heard of it! lol
I'll give it a try, thanks Joseph |
VirtualDub only works for is avi only. I looked and found VirtualDubMod which works with all other formats (because mine is in mpg). I don't really understand it immediatly like how to watch the movie (with audio) or sync other sources of audio.
The documentation does not specify on where to get started, it just walks you through the more complex tasks. |
