ice cream contest winner
recently i read a story about a woman who won a Ben and jerry's new flavor contest, and I gotta say, this sounds good. opinions for this one please.
the recipie was called "puttin on the Ritz": chocolate covered Ritz crackers, caramel, and vanilla ice cream. this sounds worth a try. what flavours has anyone else made for themselves? |
My mom loves to mis blueberries with her vanilla ice cream, its so good in fact my cat Cuddles always got in her face when she tried to eat it. Mom always called out to me to get Cuddles' little own ice cream dish so that he can have some too.
The most I have ever made though was mixing ice cream with different chocolates. |
I guess you guys don't have Coldstone where you live?

You know what is an awesome self made style of ice cream? Ok, I take vanilla ice cream, mix it all around till its nice and smooth and creamy like, then I take a slice of cake, and rip it all up and mix it in the ice cream....
MMMMMM sooooo gooooodd..... |
I was at an ice cream social once and this one guy brought a tub of his special "jalapeno vanilla" ice cream.
It was a hit with everyone. |

Marischino (sp?) Cherry flavour :p Basically it's half a bowl full of vanilla ice cream topped up with full-fat milk, and then you add the cherries and the syrup they come with and mix it up. Completely addictive. The Ritz one sounds really nice too...

Pretty sure thats just a cold stone thing. They do that here in Washington too. |
When I was a kid, at summer camp we made Snickers ice cream. And yeah, while I know they sell them now in the tubs or at your local Cold Stones, nothing beats homemade vanilla ice cream with chunks of Snickers you broke up yourself. Also this was before the whole mix-in craze or ice cream flavors so just the combination of being a kid and eating ice cream after running around all day, playing with an orange bomerang and a giant 20 foot slide, made the ice cream taste better.
