USB Flash drive isnt detected anymore
Ok, so I have this 1 GB USB drive that i bought at Comp USA (the cheap kind, which i might regret now). I've had it for a few months already, working fine on various computers, until today it seems that it doesnt want to be detected on ANY computer. The little green light that normally turns on when i conect it to the PC isnt turning on either, so im wondering if the drive just gave up. I thought it might be good to find a company website, but all the drive says is TechSolutions 1G. Any ideas on how to format it, or whatever to make it work are appreciated!

If the thing isn't "detected," you can't really format it. Check to see that the USB connector on the drive is clean and free of lint or other debris. ?Yes, it may be dead, in which case you might as well purchase a new drive.

I had this problem not so long ago. My solution was to buy a new flash drive, and it looks as if you may have to do the same if none of the PC's that you have plugged it into are detecting it.

Didn't it come with warranty?

Mine died on that way. First it was a week with detection problems. Finally it won't be anymore. In these cases I don't know what fails, the USB connector or the flash memory?
