Ripping movies.
 

I want to rip some movies from DVDs and store them in my hard drive. Ideally they'd be around 1 gb in size each, but it really doesn't matter. I tried AutoGK and it didn't work too well, the quality was shit. What should I be ripping the movies to?

I want to do this very same thing. Eleo sent me a link to some kind of Wiki-type site with information on encoding DVDs with the (awesome) H.264 codec. Now that he's gone I can't find that damn site. ;____;
