I got an all chocolate Kit-Kat!!!

This one just came to me now while I was opening my Kit-Kat. Its all chocolate on one side and normal on the other! Have any of you ever had this anomoly? It does happen with candy bars im told quite often, but where else have you seen it too?

Example: Lifted your burger bun to find a severed finger, started drinking a can of coke and realising that its just plain water!

Tell me of your confection confusions!

Yeah, I've had an all-chocolate Kit-Kat before, except both bits were all chocolate. I've also had a Kit-Kat Chunky that was all chocolate, that was good stuff. I've even had a Penguin bar that only had half a bit of biscuit in, so the other half was all choccy.

This happened to me too!

I bought a kit-kat bar and broke off one of the pieces, and when I bit into it, there was no crunch, just smooth chocolate! It was only one piece that was all chocolate, the rest was normal.

In Australia, we hold Nestlé to higher manufacturing standards.

Kolba Oct 11, 2006 08:22 AM

I once had a wotsit that was just a pure lump of cheese flavouring.

JammerLea Oct 11, 2006 02:06 PM

I've had a few kit-kats that were mostly chocolate. My last one only had like... two slices of the thin wafers instead of the usual four or whatever... They just don't make kit-kat's like they used to.

I think this thread should go into the The Fast Food or Packaged Food section.

And to answer your question, I once had a complete bag of peanut M&M's and they were all chocolate... Grrr... I wasn't impressed by that one...

Bernard Black Oct 11, 2006 05:36 PM

Mmm I had a kit kat like that once, possibly the best kit kat I've ever had :) I've also had so-called "chocolate-covered nuts" to discover they were just chocolate, and a pink wafer that was made up of one thin wafer and the rest was that sugary stuff they use inbetween the wafers. None of this bothers me at all; I have a serious addiction to sugar so lack of biscuit, wafer or peanut doesn't bother me =s

I've opened a brand new hershey's kiss, and it was empty, with the wrapping around it still in perfect form.

Also, I've grabbed an orange soda that was just soda without any flavoring at all.

Don't know if this counts but I bought some macaroni&cheese at KFC one time and it had a huge chunk of cheese near the bottom. Mmmmm cheeese~

Draz Oct 11, 2006 06:40 PM

One time I bought a chicken burger at McDonalds' with a bacon 'patty' in the shape of a parallelogram. I thought the square 'bacon' was bad enough...

i've had oreos with flipped choclate parts. Like the part that has the oreo logo was on the creme and the flat side was facing out.

really pissed me off cause it made them impossible to twist and leave the creme intact.

Yep, I have had the same problem.... Geezzz. Can't they get it right? Luckily for me I usually dunk mine in milk, so I don't twist them off as much as I used to.

I've had the solid KitKats, white and normal. OP, it must have been hard eating a solid KitKat chunky O_O; those things are hefty. I also like it when I get a chewy Malteser, they have a much stronger malty taste than the normal ones.

The good thing about all these flawed production methods is that the ones that don't quite meet requirements are usually sold by the kilo for a pound at most markets.

Draz Oct 11, 2006 09:35 PM

I wish I could buy like, boxes of defectively produced candies and foods for super cheap. I mean, I can get discontinued Korean energy drinks... but they're not worth buying. If it was just a candy with a mis-shapen face on it or something that would be great.

Rydia Oct 11, 2006 10:06 PM

I've had a Reese's peanut butter cup without the peanut butter once. Only one of the pieces in the two-pack managed to be all chocolate, and the other one was still normal.

I once got an aero bar with no bubles. I was very dissapointed, especially after all that hype on TV about the bubbles :( A friend of mine got a kit-kat with only one bar of wafers.

Why Am I Allowed to Have Gray Paint Oct 11, 2006 11:34 PM

Whisper is superior to Aero in terms of texture, although Aero has a stronger flavour. And the Baileys Irish Cream Aero is pretty good >_>.

Kolba Oct 12, 2006 12:30 AM

Mint Aero is the main draw for me. I don't think you can get mint Whisper.

When I was a wee tot, I am told that there was an earthworm in my soda at a Burger King.

Should of sued them! But you missed your chance.... Its sucks being a kid sometimes. ;)

Aside from the mundane standard kinda thing when you go to the cinema and get a bag of popcorn full of nothing but kernels, I remember getting a can of cherry coke that was suspiciously lightweight - No soda had been added, and it was just the flavouring syrup. It was fucking foul, but pretty hilarious because I was being egged on to drink it by friends.

Having seen the home of nestle, I'm not surprised what kind of faults they have in their snacks.

That link isnt working Ulysses. I seem to remember mint whispers too, although I always avoided flavored chocolate, except Terrys Chocolate Oranges, oh my god they are the ambrosia themselves. Oh and earier today I had a fig roll with no figgy filling! Was a horrible tasting thing but I ate it anyways.
