Scarface: The Fucking Worlds is Yours

So this fucking game is out on multiple platforms and seems like a fucking clone of GTA. I fucking tried it and it's a pretty fucking fun-game. Nothing too fucking serious, and not really all that fucking great, but it's nice to play when fucking bored.

And ofcourse lots of fucking swearing.

I don't know why so many games are being made on old movies (we also got Godfather, Fight Club, etc.) these days, but I guess it really goes to show that most of the new movies these days fucking suck.

I'm not a fan of GTA-esque games so I'll probably be staying away from this one.

btw, talking like Tony Montana is fuckin' contagious

Some elaborations:
First, Scarface: The World is Yours (hereafter abbreviated to 'TWiY') is a 'GTA clone' only in the genre; do keep in mind that GTA: Vice City itself is heavily influenced by Scarface.
Secondly: TWiY is not a mere recounting of the movie; rather, it's a 'what if?' that diverges from a point at the very end of the movie.
Those points laid down, there are several improvements over the GTAs; various articles (at IGN, Gamespot, et cetera) go into these in depth, so I'll just share two big ones which illustrate the truth in the subtitle:
  1. Once you have a driver on retainer, you can have any purchased car brought to you; the boat pilot does the same with boats. Note that two vehicles (the floatplane and limo) aren't driven - rather, they serve to 'teleport' you about the map.
  2. Once your retiune includes an arms dealer, you can order hardware over the phone, and it'll be delivered in your summoned car or boat. Note that this 'weapon locker' can also be used to stash weapons you find that aren't yet available for purchase (such as missile launchers)

While this is sort of a GTA clone like everyone says. Im enjoying this cause i want to play a good game. So far I see no replay value so its good to play once. Which is why im not buying it ^^;.

The good thing about this game is you can walk around or blow away a bunch of goons while listening to LL Cool J's Rock the Bells >=]. I do like the whole "What if Tony never got killed" idea. But at the same time, many fans of scarface will say you can't destroy a classic like that.

Pretty soon we'll get a Goonies game for PS3

Konami could just port the two they made for other systems.

Fun fact: I did not know that "Goonies 2" was not a movie.

I reallly really like the game, I like how they polished up on the parts where gta failed, Hope we get a similar shooting system in the next gta game. The only thing i dislike is how small and boring the city is, it just looks the same and there isnt anything to do.

I'm playing it on PC. The game, in graphical detail, is leaps and bounds over any GTA. I think the particle effects and embers from cars trading paint emphasizes on that.

I wanted to give this game (and Godfather) a try to see how they turned out but everything inside me just tells me to stay far away. I'm worried the developers simply decided to go for the GTA3: [insert movie license here] approach. I was hoping Scarface and Godfather would bear similarities to Mafia and while initially some may consider Mafia a GTA-esque clone, it really isn't. For now I'll just continue assuming Mafia is the first and only great game of this genre.

At first I aproached this as another GTA clone. But after diving into the world of yeyo, cash and balls I started to love this game. While GTA SA still remains my personal number 1 in gang themed games Scarface takes a very close second place.
