Back up ChocoJournal
I'm not sure if this feature was discussed before (or exists already), but I remember it vaguely.
Anyway, could it be possible to get a backup feature similar to the PM-backup-feature? You know, just get a TXT-batch of stuff or some HTML-file or whatever. It'd be cool and I'd love it. And hug it. Possibly. |
This would be very helpful so I don't lose my model build up "walkthroughs". Would this support images in the entries as well? Since the images are also an important part to it.

A RSS feed would be even better. :D

Whoa. We have a PM back-up system? SHIT. I never knew. THANKS GRAWL.
I would also LOOOOOVE to have a journal back-up system. I asked Miles a while ago (just after the crash) if that was a possibility. I think he said no at the time, but I hadn't asked for any kind of implementation. Right now, all I do is View All and Save Page As. I end up with a file and folder, but I can't save all the comments and shit. I would rather not have to click on the comments for EVERY ENTRY EVER. I will PAY MONEY for this feature. Theres actually a lot of shit in my journal which I have referenced to win bets in my personal life. (Chronology and shit) It's a really valuable thing to me - I will seriously pay money to be able to back up everything (including comments) in it. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE? <3 |
She's paying. Bobo will no doubt deliver now.

Jesus, there are only about 500 freeware programs that will do this shit for you

Always so quick with suggestions, but never so quick with actual resolutions. Seriously though. If you're going to make a statement like that, why not help us out and link us, internet tough guy. =p |
Jesus, there are only about 5000 search engines you can use to search for said program that will do this shit for you.

But what search string do we use? I'm not having any luck.

Hey Miles, how about giving us a program name that won't crash because of GFF's server setup. I tried using Offline Explorer and it works fine on other sites...backup something on GFF and the program halts on the first page.
I hate your server. And your little dog too. |

I think we ALL KNOW HOW TO USE GOOGLE. But you know, with 5000 search engines and 5000 actual softwares, we probably could use a recommendation. I know I certainly could - and it would save staff work. If you don't know of any good ones, just say so. You're as bad as Pang. Cry. I mean, its the least you could do, right? ;_; SO MEAN. |

I've used a few html backup programs before. Most of them aren't that great. At least the ones I tried. Could anyone specify one that will actually do the job asked in this thread correctly? That'd be super swell.
