It's not Genshiken 2, but on the Kujibiki Unbalance DVDs there will be an episode of a new Genshiken OVA, much like how Kujian was an OVA on the original Genshiken DVDs.

It looks like there's a new female member of Genshiken, can't figure out anything about the plot though :B Still, good news nonetheless.

That girl in the middle is indeed a new member. =) She's from the manga which goes a bit farther on. She's a pretty interesting person, would love to see how much they cover her in the ova.

If I remember correctly, They show her at the ending credits of episode 12. I really don't mind an OVA. As long as we get to see more Genshiken >=]. And hopefully they can represent a new 2d fighter. Maybe Hokuto no Ken XD.

That girl would be Ogiue. She's my favourite female character from Genshiken. I was wondering if they'd do season 2 and include her in there, but I guess it's just the OVA for now. That's still cool news though. Genshiken is my favourite Manga series.

Yay! I've heard of this for a while just wasnt sure it was official or not.

The episode's been out for almost a week now. What do you guys think? The animation that is.

Honestly, I wasn't bothered by it at all. It looks kinda like the manga but then again, some of you might say that the animation was a little poor O.o. I think I needed to see another good episode like this one. As far as this being an OVA, It's going to be alot more than just 3-5 episodes ( i hope).

As I predicted, this season of Genshiken is representing Kujibiki Unbalance TV and SNK's popular King of Fighters XI along with that old classic Shikigami no Shiro 2. I won't say anything else til the rest of you see it. However.. there isn't much light on Kohsaka. I hope to see how he takes on Kuchiki in KOFXI since Sasahara is just plain garbage and disgraced Ash Crimson XD.

Although the art is certainly a lot worse than the original series, it's not too bad, and I think the writing is so good it doesn't even matter. The second OVA episode was just hilarious.

I really like Ogiue, she's a funny character and really brings some more into the mix. Kucchi is a bit too much of a relief character so far, but I guess he'll come into his own later (though I hope to see more Madarame!).

Anyway, I can't wait for the next episode. Great stuff!

I'm enjoying it too. However, they really should come out with a full second season. It's too good not to.

The manga certainly would provide enough material for it, but alas :(

Hooooly crap. That's exciting. I'm excited. Thanks for reporting that dude! I sure hope it doesn't turn out like that other "second season" (which is the OVA we're getting now I guess!), but this doesn't sound like it could be interpreted wrong. I'll try to stay "cautiously optimistic" instead of just hyped to death. But yeah if it's true it's like, so exciting!

Haha, I don't get into incoherent anime fanboy mode that often... =D
