Loading PS2 Games From HDD
I was wondering if anyone could point me to a tutorial on this.
|
Do you mean booting them from the PS2 HDD to play on the PS2, or from an HDD to play on an emulator? If you mean the latter, then rip the PS2 iso using Alcohol 120%'s 'PS2' setting, and then boot the iso with the emulator you're using. If you mean the former, I'm not sure.

If you want to boot from the PS2's hard drive, I think you need HDLoader. And a hard drive and network adaptor, of course.
Try this site, it should answer some questions on the subject, and the software you'll need to purchase can be found for less than $30, shipped. I wish I had some hands-on experience with the software, but I don't, so good luck. |
Depends on what you want to do....Theres MANY ways to make your PS2 boot.
1. HDLoader 2. HDAdvance 3. MC Exploit (What I use) All depends what you want to do really |
I'm trying to learn how to do the Memory Card exploit.
|
Ok then u will need
1. Network Adapter 2. Hard Drive (Of Course) 3. Router or Pen Drive 4. 8MB PS2 Memory Card Or Bigger 5. A Playstation 1 game I think thats about it...If you don't have a router i could send you my Expliot folder and everything would be done...all you would have to do is make your Hard Drive HDL compatible unless its already done....anyways PM me if you want to get this started |
AFAIK, there are currently two programs that will automatically generate a CD-R image which will set up the exploit without hassle at all. There is no need to do it all manually.
Shame it didn't work for me as my PS2 modchip refuses to boot PS1 games. ¬_¬ |
