Duck Hunt for wii

With the Wiimote and all, do you think Nintendo will revive Duck Hunt? If you don't think they will, Should they?

I don't think they WILL, but I think they SHOULD.. DUCK HUNT was awesome, and the Wiimote seems like a perfect plan for Duck Hunt!

((Or maybe Point Blank for the Wii.... Who knows.))

Nintendonomicon Sep 22, 2006 10:21 PM

They just might.

Tommyspud Sep 22, 2006 10:28 PM

One: Is that like a thing for Wii sports, or is it it's actual game...
Two: Can I finally kill that stupid Dog?

It would be neat to have some sort of light gun Wiimote dock that you put the Wiimote into. Or maybe a... oh gosh, what was it called? That giant bazooka thing for the SNES. It was used in that Yoshi game and that one game... thing...

Super Scope!
I loved playing Yoshi's Safari with it..

I wonder if you can controller the ducks with the 2P Wiimote....

Like you can in the original NES version.... LOL
I remember everyone talking about that at school back in the days lol!!

So can you REALLY control the ducks?!?

Tommyspud Sep 22, 2006 10:33 PM

Nah, I think the 2nd player in this new version is an additional player...
You couldn't really control the ducks in the original one, either...

It's actually a minigame in Wii Play, as far as I know. They spice it up with Point Blank-like targets in the beginning.
No dog, though.

Tommyspud Sep 23, 2006 02:17 PM

Ah, so the basic thing is that Nintendo's taunting us with a Minigame.
NICE, WTG NINTENDO, BRING ME FALSE HOPE, Like Capcom and Power Stone 3!

Nintendonomicon Sep 23, 2006 02:42 PM

Well... what did you expect? Duck Hunt is essentially a minigame, and this new version is expanded from what you played in the NES. It now features simultaneous 2-player gameplay (could be more than 2), different kinds of targets (not just ducks), and obviously better graphics and sound.

So I don't see how Nintendo is taunting us and bringing us false hope.

Tommyspud Sep 23, 2006 02:47 PM

Ok, maybe I'm using 'False Hope' out of context... But, I do think, that if they wanted too, they could make a 'full' Duck Hunt game... This is just going to make people yearn for a full version.

That's funny since it was released on it's own cartridge, then later came with Super Mario Bros. (and Track Meet if you got the set).

What's there to be full? Seriously. It's Duck Hunt. You hunt ducks. On one screen, just like the original. What else can they do to it?

My point exactly. This new version is everything Duck Hunt was and more.
Well, apparently there's no dog, but still...

And the rest of the games in Wii Play look interesting as well.
