Seirei no Moribito
 

Seirei no Moribito, the upcoming Prod I.G release (yay!) was announced on last march without a release date. Now it's official, the serie will be 26 episodes long and will be aired on spring 2007 in Japan. It's the adaptation of a fantasy novel from Nahoko Ueashi.


"Chagumu, the second prince of New Yogo Kingdom, is the person who is chosen once in 100 years to be deposited an egg by a water fairly, and he must become the guardian of fairies.
Thinking of him as a nuisance, the king tries to kill him, while the queen asks a female guard, Valsa, to protect him.
However, the beings live in another world, Nayugu, aim at him to eat an egg laid in Chagumu’s body."

Kenji Kamiyama was chosen to direct the series. Director of "Mini Pato", (small spoof series on Patlabor), he was also the scenarist of the OVA Blood, the Last Vampire, and was deeply involved in the project Ghost in the Shell : Stand Alone Complex.
