Serious DVD Main Sound Static
 

In DVDs, the sound in the menus and starting parts works fine, but then gets completely static-ridden during the main part of the disc (episodes, film, etc.) This has rendered my DVD-ROM pretty useless at this point, and it seems that this problem is also present in a DVD-Rip I have recently downloaded. Any suggestions?
