What is WRONG with FireFox??????
Okay I'm getting freaking sick of it!!!
Almost any site with movies = "illegal shockwave something"- I tried installing it from the original site but it NEVER WORKED! Big X even though it's supposed to have "worked"... then I install it manuelly and it worked for a while until that stupid upgrade now I get an illegal action or something- SOMETIMES it works... other times it doesn't... grrrrrrrr Then I got to sites like gamespot.com and give it a few seconds- OR just click on any link in that site and boom- Mozilla encountered some error and shuts down... Any ideas? |
Could you give an actual link to a movie you tried watching?
Firefox is well known to plain and simply have problems with embedded video that isn't flash. Quicktime, Shockwave, Windows Media, Real, Firefox hates all of it. (For good reason to, but tech evangelism isn't going to help you with your problem >_>) |
I get this going to about just any site with moving pictures (EVEN imageshack LOL):
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y19...untitled-1.jpg And before went I COULD go to gamespot when I clicked on any movie (it's WMP- WHICH I HAVE INSTALLED and installed for firefox) it won't go Also now I can't even enter gamespot 'cause 2 seconds later or if I click on any link I get a firefox encountering error and it shuts down! |
If you link to an actual example, then we can test the site to see if we all get the same problems. I've never had a problem with Firefox when looking at flash animations and games on Newgrounds, so I have to assume there's either a problem with the site you are viewing, or with the browser setup you are using.
Please post the list of extensions and version numbers you use too, kthx. |
examples:
yahoo.com gamespot.com mail.yahoo.com ebay.com pipeline.wayne.edu All those give me the above error + MORE! These are just some I think of right away... |
Problem's quite obviously on your end. Uninstall and reinstall Flash, Shockwave, and Java.
|
I agree with Arainach. It's more likely on your end. Just reinstall the player programs. Then you should be ok.
