Internet Connectivity=Selective Access??
Sorry if this is in the wrong place, it's the first time I've posted in the Help section.
Ok, I'm on a computer that has 4 different accounts: One for me, one for my sister, one for my mother, and one for my father. Now, the internet won't work on my mother's account or my sister's. (My dad barely uses the damn thing, so I have no idea what his connection's like.) This is weird, because the internet works fine on my account. And we can rule out the possibility of a virus, because we all have a Virus protection program, and my mother and sister never download anything. In fact, I'm the only one who downloads anything. So, if anything, I should be the one having problems. And there's no way a virus could spread, since all accounts on the computer are password protected. Even after we follow the instructions on the error screen that comes up, AND even after we shut the computer down and re-connect the modem, my mother and my sister still can't access the internet. And I'm the only one who doesn't have a problem(Well....if you want to be literal, my dad doesn't have a problem, but he's one of those types who don't like the internet, so he never goes online.). Has anyone else had this problem? If so, is there a way to fix it, or could the error possibly lie within the company that gives up internet access? Sorry if this seems like a dumb question, but I've never encountered this before. |
Try making an all new account on the machine and see if that one is able to access the net.

Are your mother's and sister's accounts Limited, or are they administrator accounts?
I'm not sure but if they're limited then you might have to set it up or something to allow them access; I'm not sure how myself :/ |
All accounts are administrator accounts.
