Vision M firmware

My Creative Zen Vision: M froze the other day so I pulled a staple out of the wall and pressed the reset button. Everything seemed fine, the Zen began rebuilding, the bar got to the end but it didn't load up right away. I thought oh well it should load soon, an hour later I came back and it was still loading. I reset it again - same thing. after awhile I found the recovery mode and started by cleaning, then reformating the player, no luck. I finally tried reloading the firmware and that brings me to my current problem. I now have no firmware working on my Zen, and when I downloaded the firmware from here
it couldn't detect my zen. What should I do?

I'd contact tech support, could be serious if not handled carefully. My Zen Micro as of late has been acting up as well, the battery bar reads full when I go out in the morning but after hearing tracks for 2-3 hours...it's dead. So I'll just be getting an additional battery and hoping that resolve the issue. Good luck to you with your problem there.

There seems to be manufactoring problems with the Creative Zen Vision M. The first one I bought lasted only one day. I had it returned for the one I have right now and it works...so far.

I've got an extended warranty, do most stores allow you to return broken products even if the shell is chipping, and there are a few big scatches on it?

EDIT: got a new one, exchanged the old one and got to keep my wall adapter so thread closed!
