Odd Question
My roommate recently made us some food in the oven. However, I was unaware that he used a 5 quart stove pan and put the food in it and put that in the oven. The pan is coated with Teflon (the non-stick material) and I am wondering if there was any harm to eating that food. I checked out the pan and saw that the plastic handles were burned a little bit, but I'm not sure if any Teflon melted and got onto the food. Should I worry about this?

The Teflon wouldn't have melted, but all the fumes from the melting plastic probably didn't do the food any good. If there was a lid on the pot, then it should be fine. Otherwise, i'd throw it out.

I think there was a lid. Not sure though. We opened up all the windows and turned the vents on though so I hope the air is all cleared out. Good news about the Teflon though. Thanks.
