Forum Feature Request:
 

About 5 hours ago, a few people, including myself, were chatting in :clown:'s Chocojournal, and the topic came up for extra skins for the forums.

Specifically, is seems that a clown theme is in high demand. =o)

That aside, I, and others, think it would be nice if a few new formats could be added to the existing skins. The current format is very nice, I have nothing against it, but still, variety is not just a magazine.

Would it be possible for something like this to be done?

Also, as a standing member of Team :clowns:, I fully support the establishment of a :clowns: theme for GFF.

I've been asking for a new theme for months (a brighter one). I got no attention. Fuck you guys. :(

:clowns: theme will need a flash animation on each and every page. One that lets you sculpt big tops out of mashed potato! Maybe it could act as the entire background.

If themes are going to be implemented, they'll have to be implemented by bobo. Since he's been absent ever since the introduction of New Nice Gamingforce Forums, I think we all know how likely it is we'll ever get them.

He actually visits pretty regularly, at least if his profile is any indication.

However, custom display names was a bit different. As I recall, bobo put a lot of emphasis on the matter that people's names are unique to each individual, and should be kept constant for a multitude of reasons.

I don't think the same ideology can be applied to forum skins though.

I wouldn't be surprised if he could somehow apply the same idealogy to a new theme and that it's "not what the community wants," because remember, bobo of all people, knows this community.

Sorry, I'm going to close this. I think bobo has said before that he doesn't want different skins, and even if he did, he should be spending his available time on coding for Gamingforce Audio, so making a clown-themed skin isn't top priority now. :(

Note: I don't discourage creating a thread for the addition of a :clowns: emoticon though, but yeah clowns theme isn't going to happen unless it's April 1st and even that is pretty slim.
