doujin - Cadenza (Phoenix Wright music!!!)
I just found out about this doujin on another forum I frequent. It just came out last month. It's called Cadenza, and it's by Magical Trick Society. Unfortunately, it appears they don't ship to international buyers. Thankfully, somoeone in Japan uploaded it:
http://rapidshare.de/files/32000364/...-_VBR_rr3_.rar It's really good! So awesome to hear Phoenix Wright music arranged so well like this. And it's not all one style; there's a nice variety to it. EDIT: Oh man, this is SO good. :D EDIT^2: Holy crap this is awesoooommmmeeeee!!!! |
I'm not going to lie, this is Doujin Album of the Year '06. Track 2 is half Objection!, half porno groove, and all AWESOME.
For those wanting some translations: CADENZA - Gyakuten Saiban 1 - 01. Courtroom Lobby ~ The First Prelude 02. Ryuichi Naruhodo ~ Objection! 2001 03. Questioning ~ Moderato 2001 04. Mayoi Ayasato ~ Turnabout Sisters Theme 2001 05. Detention Center ~ The Guards' Elegy 06. Oo-edo Soldier Tonosaman 07. Keisuke Itonokogiri ~ Detective Itonoko 08. Investigation ~ Core 2001 09. Soranosuke Hoshikage ~ Aging, Regret, Repay 10. Pressing Pursuit ~ Cornered / Variation 11. Victory! ~ The First Victory 12. Turnabout Courtroom - End Double Post: Oh my GOD, awesome bass solo on track 10. Proclamation of greatness confirmed. |
Track two isn't porn groove—it's bossa nova. sup brazil.
edit: Bass solo on track ten is the shizbomb. CHz is correct. |
Could someone plz upload this to sendspace or yousendit. Rapidshare doesn't work for me :(

Pretty nice! The original Phoenix Wright music is pretty good; the Investigation ~ Cornered and Keisuke Itonoko ~ Itonoko Geijissu from the original game soundtrack were two favorites of mine even in DS soundboard-quality music. :)

On the subject of Phoenix Wright, I came across a japanese site that had a Gyakuten Saiban Meets Orchestra album. I'm downloading it right now and can't vouch for the quality, but if anyone is interested:
rpg.mopoo.com/new/Gyakuten%20Saiban%20Orchestra%20Album%20~Gyakuten% 20Saiban%20Meets%20Orchestra.rar [Edit: Password-protected. The password is probably somewhere in rpgmm.mopoo.com/user1/rpgmm/index.html, but I've been unable to open it. Oh well.] |
Haha, that was so leaked. Password should be rpgmm (which it was for all other files there), but I can't check as the download is going so slowly. Lots of users on there right now, I guess.

Link appears to be broken. Could somebody upload it elsewhere?

Ah, thanks.
That link was ungodly slow, so I removed the password and reuploaded it here: http://web.ics.purdue.edu/~ptnguyen/..._Orchestra.rar |

Any one got a tracklist of the "Meets Orcastra" ost?
|
I'm pretty sure one was posted in the respective thread.
EDIT: Nevermind, just checked. |

Not familiar with the game or it's original music, but this doujin album is awesome.

Anyway, back to Cadenza, this album is excellent! They nailed down the perfect style for each arrangement, and the arrangement overall is very professional. I almost feel like I should be paying money to hear this. |

One minor nitpick...Has anyone found a way to alter the Cadenza tags? I keep getting a "Read-Only" message when I go to paste in the translations and it won't take. |

Minor annoyance, fantastic soundtrack. I've probably listened to Pressing Pursuit Cornered / Variation almost two dozen times since I've gotten it. |
I can alter the tags just fine; I think I downloaded it from somewhere else, actually. Here's a Sendspace link with my copy:

Wow.
These arrangements of the songs are awesome. I'm enjoying this a lot more than the 'orchestra' versions, (which weren't actually played by an orchestra, sadly) and were a bit of a let down, other than the main medley. Thanks so much for the uploads! |
Yeah, definitely good stuff.
|
Oh yeah, this is definitely some awesome stuff. I'm in the same boat as Lolman; not familiar with the original tunes, but I'm loving the album nonetheless. Will probably have to check out more of Magical Trick Society's work after this, if what GoldfishX says is true!
