Lifespan of Projection TV???

I have a 61 inch Sony Projection TV, and was wondering what the lifespan was for these type of TV's I have had it since 2002, so about 4 years now.

Do I need to worry about getting another one soon?

Thanks for any help, or info, anyone can give me!

As long as you don't move it around alot it can serve you for a long time. From what I've seen and fixed they usually last about 6 to 8 years.
That's around the same time the capacitors on the boards will either start to go bad or even leak. Worst case is the projector fluid spilling on the boards from rough handling. If that happens consider it useless.
