JBL Creature 2 Power Supply...

I just got these speakers...They sound great, but I notice the oversized power supply gets extremely hot when using it. Almost too hot to touch and the surface I had it on was warm as well.

If anyone has these: Is this normal or could there be something wrong with the adapter?
