i started this thread because now im aware of how serious Counterfeit has become and i am so paranoided in buying anything. i want to buy a new phone sony ericsson k750i but im so scared it will be a Counterfeit. i seen sony ericsson Counterfeits and they are convincing. china is even bootleging durgs! has anyone seen a Counterfeit sony ericsson? or what ever else you want the public to be aware of post here!

Just buy one in a legit store.

Honestly, unless you're buying on eBay or at pawn shops, you really shouldn't worry about counterfeit stuff.

But when you buy from a reputable dealer, you can't get 300 dollar phones for twenty bucks! And that sucks!

what do you guys think about whole sellers then? im about to go to a whole sale factory tomorrow in china town. he saids that he sells to cell phone stores all over new york. he has a office and the warehose has many phones. does the k750i sony ericsson Counterfeit even exist?

Lots of people can get office space, son. It doesn't mean they're honest.

Make sure you buy it from a cool place like the ones they advertise on TV in the middle of the day or late at night.

So everythings counterfeit because your worried about buying an illegit phone from some shady wholesale store?

Of course, you gotta be careful. It doesn't end with the phone, the store itself will be counterfeit, the people who sell it to you, the air you breathe in there. You'll arrive back home to find your front door wide open because everyone in town has a copy of your key. All counterfeit!

Like they said man, just get it from a legit store...or you might not want to get the k750i at all. Is a cool phone but the damn joystick started wearing out after 5-6 months of use. Suddenly the camera didn't work either. I even tried to update the software but no go :(

I got phone from guy who brutha in Hong Kong supply him with lots cheap phone. This was when I in Chinatown New York maybe it same guy you go to?

PS it was Sony Ericsson.

That Chinatown "wholesale" store has counterfeit written all over it. If you want a phone, get it at a retail chain. There's pretty much no chance of getting a counterfeit item at Best Buy or Circuit City or someplace like that.

Hahaha, you can get anything in Chinatown. Its just that you just might not get the real thing. Thats okay though. Who wants a real phone anyway?

Haha, saw a counterfeit cellphone store in China which looked very legit. They were selling Anycalls except if you looked closely at the phone it said "Amycall".

Reminds me of the joke my buddies and I used to talk about, where a guy was selling watches. Except it wasn't a ROLEX, it was ROLECKS lol.

If you buy from a shady dealer, then you get what you pay for. And yes, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

Just don't come here and whine that you got ripped off if you don't buy stuff from a reputable dealer/store (and ebay varies depending on the seller), especially after all the posts people are telling you. If you can't afford the real thing, then the one that guy on the street is selling at a discounted price is either a counterfeit, or stolen (and if it's stolen, sucks for you when the cops trace the item back to you).

Like everyone else has said, if you're paying shit, you're gonna get shit. This extra 20% or 50% discount or whatever isn't worth it man.
