Chris Angel

Seriously. That man is one trippy motherfucker.

How the hell does he do all that? How does he float? It's amazing. I can't understand how it's possible.

I don't understand the purpose of watching magic on TV. In this day and age of CGI, bullet time and general "slight of hand" computer work - doesn't it seem more fesible that someone like Chris Angel is just pulling Wire Fu stunts and the like?

Criss Angel explains how he does the levitation trick on his DVD and you can see it here.

Everything else, I assume, can be figured out if you've seen one of those old shows where they show you the secrets behind magic tricks and other illusions. Or if you know about stunts in general it might help. My parents have fun trying to figure out how he does his tricks. My mom's very sure that the lady he pulls in half in the park is a midget with fake legs.

Anyway here's two other vids I found with some explanations/speculations from others:

walking on water
going through glass

I have done with some friends the levitation trick. Its pretty simple, but stunning to the ones who dont know the trick.

Anyways, Ive seen some of Chris's magic tricks and i believe they are montage (like David Blane levitation shot from behind). C'mon, he chops a woman in half only with his hands...

But how does he do some of his "demonstrations" like levitating by himself all the way around so you can see him? And for those of you who watch the show, when ever he like disapears, behind a blanket, like he appears he go's into the ground. Thats cool shit. I wanna meet him, see if he is for real.

There's always a catch. I remember watching those magic specials on Fox when I was a kid and when they explained the tricks, it was just incredibly stupid.

Like this one time, they said they'd make an entire SPACESHIP disappear when they actually dropped the curtain, move the camera to the next curtain, had the studio audience fiegn surprise and then was stupid enough to explain the trick to the viewers.

I've always loved watching magic, although most of it can easily be explained, it's just great how it gets your mind going. "How did they do that, there is NO WAY they could pull that off in person"

I have always liked mind trickery, and no matter how ridiculous magic gets I will always be entertained by it.
