Downloading/saving videoclip
Greetings.
Can't believe my old account was deleted, how sad. My problem: There's a videoclip I'd like to store on my computer, but it's not up for grabs. I watched it on Google Video (amongst other things) and liked it so much I had to get it for myself. Is there anyway to download clips that are not set up for downloading? Any applications or programs that would allow me to do so? ~LL |
Try http://javimoya.com/blog/youtube_en.php but, it's a Firefox plugin, so you need to be using Firefox for it to work.
If you google "Google Video Downloader" you'll find countless other results, that's just the first one I saw. |

Well, there was a major crash a while back and everybody had to reregister, if that's what you're referring too. If it got deleted recently than, well yeah that's sad indeed. Keepvid is the way to go for saving streaming videos on your comp. No program, just a website. Here it's at: http://keepvid.com/ |
KeepVid sounds pretty interesting. If that really works, it means I don't have to dig through my cache folder for those bloody clips anymore.

Whoa. Keepvid was superb.
Thank you ever so much Darkelf. Now I remember why I loved GF so much. I know the boards crashed a bunch of times (three I think?), but I had an account that I think disappeared after the last one. It's ok though. Much respect, THANKS =) ~LL |
Firefox plug-ins like Video Downloader make it very easy. In some cases, the extensions will allow you to rename it as say, a *.avi and have the video in that format.
