journal system for php?
I have a forum and im looking for something kinda myspace like. i want each member to be able to have a journal/blog, but i dont want my server to have to handle a bunch of WordPress (or whatever) installs. I am useing SMF 1.1 RC2
Thanks~ |
Way ahead of you. Check this thread out.
[edit] forgot the link -_- http://www.simplemachines.org/commun...ic=94378.0;all |
I just bumped that thread because I'm also running SMF 1.1 RC2 (such a fine piece of software, btw). The only link it gives is a mod that requires a portal of some kind, though. I hope someone is still working on a journal mod for SMF.

SMF, ftw~ |
If you read the thread Roph linked to, you'd notice that someone is already working on this journal feature. He also provided a link to his own forum with the mod installed and it truely looks amazing:
http://www.odtu2006.com/forum/index....nguage=english I guess it doesn't require anything besides SMF 1.1. On a related note, RC3 has just been released ... ;-) |
It does look very nice... i think im going to upgrade to rc3 and install that later...
right now i have to get my forums back online. stupid raid array. lol |

If you noticed when I made that thread, I used chocojournal as an example, but I don't think he took too much notice of it :(
