journal system for php?

I have a forum and im looking for something kinda myspace like. i want each member to be able to have a journal/blog, but i dont want my server to have to handle a bunch of WordPress (or whatever) installs. I am useing SMF 1.1 RC2

Thanks~

I just bumped that thread because I'm also running SMF 1.1 RC2 (such a fine piece of software, btw). The only link it gives is a mod that requires a portal of some kind, though. I hope someone is still working on a journal mod for SMF.

If you read the thread Roph linked to, you'd notice that someone is already working on this journal feature. He also provided a link to his own forum with the mod installed and it truely looks amazing:

I guess it doesn't require anything besides SMF 1.1. On a related note, RC3 has just been released ... ;-)

It does look very nice... i think im going to upgrade to rc3 and install that later...

right now i have to get my forums back online. stupid raid array. lol

That is ugly as shit, and has nothing on ChocoJournal. It's funny how there's a whole thread on this, and the best they came up with was giving users their own "forum" for a blog.

If you noticed when I made that thread, I used chocojournal as an example, but I don't think he took too much notice of it :(

Haha, I could tell from that Powerpuff Girls avatar, Roph!

Besides, where's your SMF forum at?

Given SMF's incredibly powerful customization system and me being familiar with its source code, making it look like ChocoJournal will be as easy as pie. I'm totally looking forward to this mod.
