Clubhouse Games / 42 All-Time Classics (8 player Wi-Fi sex party)

http://www.tothegame.com/res/game/55...t_us_large.jpg

Everyone take off your pants and do a little dance, Clubhouse Games is comin' to town. 42 All-Time Classics is also arriving as the renamed version for Europe. OPEN THE DOORS, because as the Euro name suggests, there's 42 games. MOVE THE LOUNGE OUT INTO THE GARAGE. Nintendo's being pretty piss quiet about the game, even though it's due out next month in Europe/UK and October in America/Aus/NZ. Quiet like piss I say! You know, stealth and all that, Solid Snake. The game was released last year in Japan, but this huge delay has been worth it because the Japanese release didn't have online gameplay.

I just hope they don't later reveal that like, only three games have an online mode or something. The sex party would be over, everyone would go home. Who'd clean up? Macgyver? Oh my no. So what games are here?

Bowling, Mini Golf, Darts, Billiards, Old Maid, Spit, I Doubt It, Sevens, Memory, Pig, Blackjack, Hearts, Rummy, Last Card, Last Card Plus, Hang Man, President, Five-card draw, Texas Hold 'Em, Nap, Spades, Contract Bridge, Hasami Shogi, Turncoat, Chinese Checkers, Checkers, Dots and Boxes, Backgammon, Chess, Connect Five (Gomoku), Grid Attack, Koi-Koi (Hanafuda), Soda Shake, Dominoes, Balance, Take Over, Solitaire, Escape, Mahjong Solitaire, Field Tactics and Ludo.

It's gonna be budget priced here, maybe the rest of the world too, I dunno.

The only reason I clicked on this thread is "8-player Wi-Fi sex party."

I am disappointed to see that this is not the case. :(

Infernal Monkey Aug 17, 2006 06:52 AM

Gonna have to wait 'till it's released for the sex party to begin. :(

Rockgamer Aug 17, 2006 08:59 AM

I've been interested in this game since I saw it at E3 this year, so I'll probably be getting it. Even if all the games aren't online, I can always force my sister to play them with me. But anyway, most of the games look pretty good, so I think this game will wind up being pretty cool.

Will Solataire be Wi-Fi compatible? MYSTERY!

nazpyro Aug 17, 2006 12:50 PM

Holy crap. I've never seen this. This could be hella fun to play online, at least the shorter games (darts, bowling, billiards, etc.). I don't see full games of poker or chess happening.

PictoChat feature on Wi-Fi wins.

Kesubei Aug 19, 2006 08:26 AM

This seems like it'd be fun, I might pick this up once I get another DS. Wi-Fi Pictochat-like thing could be entertaining. My only minor complaint is that playing many of the games listed on Wi-Fi won't be as fun as playing the real version, where you can yell and verbally taunt each other endlessly (I wonder if Xbox 360 will have something like this?).

Online chat doo-higgy. Full colour, take THAT, PicoChat. More like PictoCrap am I right/wrong/left/up/down. And more new screens because posts look fancy when you avoid words and use images.

I went to PAX yesterday and they had this playable at a few of their big DS booths.

Really smooth presentation, played quite well. I'm definately looking forward to this coming out, as I'm sure it'll eat up my time quite nicely.

DjMeas Sep 10, 2006 11:26 PM

I wonder if it's randomly matched or if you can create your own
private rooms to invite specific NDS users ^_^

Let me check out that website!

Prinnydood Sep 11, 2006 03:26 PM

I like the idea on having all those great games playable whenever and the online features seem cool...but I'm not big on paying 30-35 bucks on games I rarely play at home or on paper in school...eh we'll see.

avanent Sep 11, 2006 06:18 PM

This could be alot of fun. I wish go was in there too though ;.;

Connect five? Sweet game, never knew that was the name. Card games are always a + too.

It'll depend on the ammount of wifi if I'm to buy it.

galen Sep 11, 2006 09:36 PM

Oh man

The dot game. Sooo many hours were spent in high school biology class playing the dot game.

Burp Sep 11, 2006 10:46 PM

This game will be a huge success, why? the casual gamers will love it for sure.

Still isnt see too bad for me, but... i prefer to use my money in other games for sure.

DjMeas Sep 11, 2006 11:43 PM

Wait, they did say that game was going to be budget priced right?

So i'm guessing it's along the lines of Big Brain Academy and Brain Age?

Ya know, $19.99?

Also, the japanese version didn't have WiFi play!?
That's a dissapointment for them, they better see if they can import their own game
(well, assuming it'll work on the WiFi for them ^_^'')

Rockgamer Sep 11, 2006 11:50 PM

Nope, it's gonna be full priced (and really full priced, as Gamestop has it listed for $34.99, even though they're selling Star Fox Command and Mario Hoops for that much even though everyone else is selling them for $29.99). That does seem a little much for this type of game, and they would definitely sell more at the $19.99 price, but I guess they feel that it'll still sell enough copies for that much.

DjMeas Sep 12, 2006 12:02 AM

Ahh ok, well, it still seems that it'll be worth it since i'm usually at
home or at school with WiFi connections.

But the question of if ALL the games are WiFi playable,
i'm going to quote my DS catalog i picked up at Gamestop:

"Play more than 40 classic board, card, and party games alone,
or with friends near and far online via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection."

Maybe that sheds some light pertaining to which games will be
WiFi-able. Hopefully all of them haha ^_^

Freelance Sep 12, 2006 08:50 PM

Thanks to Infernal, I now know about this game!

Yeah, it seems pretty steep for a bunch of casual board games, but HELL! It has SOLITAIRE MAHJONG!!! Like I'm gonna pass this up! The other games sound entertaining too, of course, but Mahjong beats them all.

It's awesome that we can actually talk to our opponents this time around. It's about damn time!

Hopefully Wal-Mart will get this game for cheap. They had a one-day sale once where I picked up Star Fox Command for less than $30 bucks :D Luckily I decided to go there on the day they had the sale.

Infernal Monkey Sep 27, 2006 08:27 AM

Added to Nintendo's Wi-Fi siiiiiite. Says 37 of the games are online, which is pretty rad! If only it said WHICH ONES. It's also apparently out today in Europe, box art;

http://tothegame.com/res/game/5740/boxshot_uk_large.jpg
Why oh why does NoE have to rename nearly every DS game? =x

"Nintendogs? Naaaah, call it NintenONIONS"
"but sir it's about dogs, not onions.."
"YOU'RE FIRED"

DjMeas Sep 27, 2006 09:12 AM

37! That's a pretty good number ^____^
As for the name change, yea why'd they have to change it?

As for the price, i've been seeing $29.99 on most online shops.
It's even been advertised in the Toys R Us Sunday ad even though
the game isn't released yet here in the US.

Buizel Sep 27, 2006 09:24 AM

I'm sure that Solitaire isn't playable via Wi-Fi. I mean, what can 2+ people do in Solitaire? Take turns helping out?!? XP

Rockgamer Sep 27, 2006 06:02 PM

I probably would have gotten it regardless of how many of the games were online (becuase you know, I could always force my sister to play with me), but I'm definitely not complaining about 37 of them being online. I'll definitely pick this up whenever it comes out here, now.

Freelance Oct 1, 2006 06:51 AM

37 out of 40some odd games is pretty darn good if you ask me. I wonder if Mahjong Solitaire is online.

So what is the European name? I can't see the image from where I am right now.

Infernal Monkey Oct 1, 2006 07:00 AM

42 All-Time Classics.

They've also renamed Mario Hoops to Mario Slam, Kirby Canvas Curse to Kirby's Magic Paintbrush, Magnetica to Action Loop and Pokemon Trozei to Pokemon Link. When will the madness end!

Freelance Oct 1, 2006 07:06 AM

Hmm...aside from Mario Slam, the other titles are worse than their North American counterparts. They also changed Contra to Robotector or something, didn't they?
