Grandia II soundtrack problems

I attempted to rip the Grandia II soundtrack from the original CD using a number of different CD ripping programs, including LAME. Every program gave me the same result: the next song started at the end of the previous song, cutting it off at the beginning of the next tracks.

I notice the Grandia II rips around Gamingforce don't have this problem. What's the secret to getting this soundtrack to rip correctly? Is it some setting in the CD ripping programs, or is it just my CDs?

What album are you trying to rip, exaxtly? There are several albums releated to Grandia II. And does this problem occur when you play the cd as well?

Perhaps you've tried it already, but Exact Audio Copy is generally regarded to be the best cd ripping program.

I'm just trying to take the ~Deus~ And ~Povo~ original CDs and make them MP3s using LAME (preferably). I'll have to try playing them, that's a good idea.

I'll try that program out. Thanks.

Are your copies genuine? If they're not, it could be that the image that was used to copy it is just messed up. Sounds like even if that was the case, you could just spend some time in a wave editor correcting the problems. It's time-consuming but sounds doable in this case.

Sounds like your drive might have a crazy offset to it. Check out Eleo's guide to proper lossless rips for help on how to set up the offset for your drive... it'll be well worth it even if the offset isn't the problem.
