Dead pixel
 
I'm not sure if this is the right forum to post in, but I just noticed a dead pixel on my DS when playing Animal Crossing. I don't think there's even a guarantee with it, I bought it back in December 2005. Is there a Nintendo UK number I can call or something?:aargh:

Nintendo of America, at least, has an item in their FAQ section which states--albeit in a kinder way--that users with a dead pixel on one of their DS screens should "deal with it." (The FAQ does suggest playing games on the DS with the dead pixel for some time to see if it really bothers you.)

However, if the DS is within the warranty period of one year since its purchase, they will still replace or repair the DS in the event that the pixel is a serious bother. Considering that your DS is still in the warranty period, you could have it replaced. There is surely information about doing so on Nintendo's European site.

Since you're not in america I'd say it depends on the store that you purchased it from. I don't know what Nintendo of Europe does when it comes to dead pixels, but you're better off consulting the store you purchased it from in the first place.

If that fails, sending it in would be your only other option. Also wrong forum.

I would return it to Woolworths but as they have the DS Lite only there, they'll probably swap it for that, which I don't want.

I'll call Nintendo today.
