Maurice Clarett...remember him?...yeah, he's a fucking idiot.

If you don't recall, Maurice Clarett was once expected to be one of the best college football players ever...then tried to fight his way into the NFL as a freshman (you need to be out of high school for three years to get into the NFL) and lost. From there, his life went downhill, despite being drafted by the Broncos in 2005. He was just generally being an asshole. Now he's sitting in jail after running from police. If he wasn't high when he was arrested then he's still an asshole. He has more or less singlehandedly reinforced the NFL's rule about not being allowed into the league until you're three years removed from high school.

YO PITTSBURGH MIKE HERE Aug 9, 2006 09:21 AM

I saw this on Mike and Mike this morning, and it just kept getting worse and worse. First I hear they pull him over after a chase, then I hear they found several loaded guns in his trunk, and then I hear he's wearing a bullet-proof vest. Add all of this on top of his previous arrest for armed robbery and you have one fucked up kid. His life is pretty much ruined now. If only he hadn't been a greedy bastard, he'd be a millionaire right now.

I'm glad this happened. He was a real Grade A prick and quite obviously a thug to put it lightly. Getting his just desserts if you ask me.

You reap what you sew, simple as that. The guy was incredibly talented on the field in college and could have had a productive career in the NFL, but he squandered it all. From a national champion to jailbait, it's all on him. Marcus Vick seems to be in that same mold.

AHAHA, WHAT?

I can't believe he fell into all of this. I felt sorry for him for a little while, but I can't feel sympathy for him now. More of a reason for me to not like professional sports anymore, let alone college.
