whinehurst exposes himself

not literally. If you wanna check out some hypermedia i did for class, you can go:
Seeds (A flash...thing)
Pirates! (non-linear html based allegory)
Will You Follow Me? (Prof. said, "make a website based on a song. I did. I pwned.)

oh, and, since I have the balls to call myself a writer sometimes, I guess I should put something of that nature out there as well:

Escapees
Heroine
Nine
Rear Window

Ooh,
"Seeds" reminded me strongly of Electroplankton.

I liked the modern day application of "Pirates"

"Will You Follow Me?" was quite a revolutionary journey. Fun to find all the click points.

You get points just for the title of your thread.

Anyway, Pirates was cool. I couldn't help but be reminded of those old "Choose your own adventure" stories. Somehow I managed to get myself killed in Pirates just the same. I'd be terrible at adventures.

Summonmaster Aug 4, 2006 03:59 PM

Oh! Choose your adventure! Now I'm trying to survive doing it again. That just makes it even neater :)

heh, yeah - my biggest problem with pirates is not having the selections well indicated. It was just fun with Dreamweaver for my digiII class.

my favorite is Will You Follow Me? just cause I really like Rob Dougan, and, just cause I need the boost to my ego, my digi prof said this about it:

Quote:

Grade: A
Reason for Grade: Excellent work. The website you put together was really well thought out; it had a complete and interesting storyline and was obviously the culmination of a lot of work. I feel that works like your project really elevate the bar for others in the class, as was commented on in the critique. This project is also the culmination of several skill sets you seem to be developing very well – illustration and story-telling.
i totally pwned that class, which isn't saying much cause most of the kids in there suck ass at art anyways. I know it comes off as arrogant or whatever, but I'm a total asshole when it comes to art stuff (even though i'm pretty shitty at it)

Anyways, I'm glad some of you are enjoying it, and able to navigate thorugh poorly designed html pages.

I really enjoyed the pirates one. That was cool.

I don't know about that, have you been to 4chan?

I actually really enjoyed "will you follow me". I think the narrative in that one is exceptionally well done. :3 The choice of music really helped it along, and also, I think muti-media narrative is when you make something work together in a wholistic manner, so really, the art is suppose to "work with" the other elements, so I couldn't really say it is bad. I mean, even in "there she is" which is done in a simplistic style, it still retains a very compelling narrative. :3

Okay, Just curious. Did anybody actually complete Seeds?
