Babel (2006)
This film looks to be potentially one of the best this year. It has the same flavor as does Crash, but on an international scale. If they can achieve the intensity of the trailer throughout the film, I think it will be an academy award winner.
With all that's been going on recently in Lebanon, Iraq, and pretty much on the global theater, I think a movie like this is exactly what we need right now. It looks to cut through a lot of the bullshit and illuminate the fact that buzzwords and cover stories do not represent the truth of the matter, which is often much more complicated than we'd like to think. |
Great trailer. I think its just the idea behind the film and the type of filmography that we see is what makes the movie so good. If its anything along the lines of Crash, then it'll be good.

Brad Pitt look old, I'd never thought he would have grey hair.

Amores Perros, now that was a good movie. I'll definitely keep my eye on this one.

I agree on the trailer. And Crash was an incredible movie. So there ya go. :-) |
Brad Pitt looks awesome in the role, though 13-year-old girls probably won't think so (he looks old wah wah wah). It's impossible to tell from just the trailer, but who knows, maybe this is his chance to finally receive an Oscar?
Crash was good, though I personally didn't like the obvious moralizing. Either way, however, I'll definitely be seeing this movie in the cinema. |
Holy shit, how did I not hear about this? I'm definitely going to be catching this movie, no doubt about that at all.
Also is it just me, or does Brad Pitt look eerily similar to Benicio as he looked near the end of 21 Grams? |
i'm definately going to be watching this. reminds me a bit of syriana too for some reason; the way that brad pitt looks at least (reminds me of george clooney)
|
This reminds me of Crash, and I hope it isn't as "in your face!" like Crash was. >_> Can't really tell much from the trailer, but it seems like an interesting suspense/drama.
