uninstalling itouch
So I've had a logitech keyboard for a long time now. I recently got a new keyboard (from microsoft however) and I went to install the keyboard and I would get an error telling me there's a conflict and it will uninstall the conflicting program. It would then give me an error that read "Severe: Sorry, the software is not compatible with your operating system. Your device will still provide basic function. The installer will now close."
So I went in add/remove programs to see if I could remove itouch that way, and it still happens. The Logitech forums had nothing of course. So short of having to wipe everything and reformat, how in the hell do I get rid of iTouch so I can install this other keyboard? |
Try this first > Help Uninstalling Logitech Drivers
If it fails, disable it from running via MSCONFIG or Services. Post screenshots if you need help. (To start those, Start > Run > msconfig and Start > Run > Services.msc) If it's a USB keyboard, maybe you can plug it into a different port? |
Well I couldn't uninstall iTouch (I kept getting that same error) however I just plugged in the keyboard and it works. I was just a bit leery of doing that since I did it once a few years ago and ended up frying the motherboard.
Thanks for the help, dude. edit: it looks like my function keys are not wanting to work. I guess it doesn't matter that much since I barely use them. I'll probably have to completely reformat to get it working like it should. |
