Can schools detect what you print? (don't mind this parenthetical, vBSEO just sucks)
I have a 50 MB pdf file on my flash drive. I want to put my flash drive into the computer, open up the pdf from the flashdrive, and print about 20-30 pages from the pdf. Can the school see what I printed? Will they even bother checking? It?s nothing inappropriate, by the way; it?s just a math textbook in pdf format that is about 700 pages long.
Thanks. |
Answer is possibly, but I'm not here to help I'm just here to be bored and post a dumb reading of your post.
Get the Flash Player to play this audio file: Hi Dull. |
Any printer that is commercial will have a log of things printed on the printer itself. Any printer attached to a domain (as is the case with most schools) will have audit logs on the domain controller.
So yes, they can see. Will they care? Depends on how tight on paper and ink/toner they are. |
You may want to print 10 pages at a time, but otherwise I doubt your school will care. The IT guys at mine were always too busy trying to figure out which computers had Halo installed (all of them) and which one was torrenting a dozen movies uncapped, slowing the network to a crawl.
