Iwata - props for the Minutemen. That's the only album by them I haven't listened to yet (own the rest). I think I'll have something new up by friday.

Holy shit (according to your last.fm) you've listened to more Merzbow than I have. Of course, I've been out of the house a lot past few weeks, but, haha.

Good to know that I'm not crazy. Also, do check out the Masonna I posted.

Iwata Mar 15, 2006 02:40 AM

Hopefully you guys are enjoying the uploads as i have just hit my stride and have about 10 albums currently being uploaded.

NovaX Mar 15, 2006 07:54 AM

Holy shit! Why am I only finding this now?

Iwata Mar 15, 2006 05:31 PM

I threw up some more records, including some Klaus Nomi because he is so awesome and hopefully some of you check out his work.

What Sunn 0))) as i have Black One uploading as well as Leonard Cohen's " Songs". I also have a really obscure comp of Brazilian Post-punk that i think alot of people around here would dig.

knkwzrd Mar 15, 2006 07:19 PM

I uploaded Black One last night. Posting now. You got the Nomi.

EDIT: I'd love to check out that Brazilian stuff.

Iwata Mar 15, 2006 11:07 PM

great uploads once again knkwzrd. I think my next batch of uploads is my most diverse and greatest yet.

Wow...thanks for uploading! I was so pissed that I missed them live in V-town (had to play a concert...I missed several things that weekend because of symphony >_<). The good news is, I'm going to see them this weekend! They're playing 4 or 5 shows around Austin for SXSW, so I'm hoping to catch at least one of them that's all-ages. Only wish I could have seen them before China died.

Mucknuggle Mar 18, 2006 06:20 PM

Guys, why aren't we stickied? Also, do we still want to create a logo for this?

knkwzrd Mar 18, 2006 06:44 PM

I had a day off so I did a bit of uploading. I'll have ten albums up tonight.

Double Post:
And their up!

russ Mar 18, 2006 10:07 PM

Why is the jazz album that Skexis uploaded the other day so great? Just because it is I suppose.

I concur. Nice post.

I concur on both accounts. We should start a new Sticky Campaign, as well as have one of our resident artists create a logo for the GFF Music Exposure Club. I'd love to see that.

YO PITTSBURGH MIKE HERE Mar 19, 2006 01:41 AM

It's definitely stickied, for me at least.

knkwzrd Mar 19, 2006 02:20 AM

Sorry for my lack of online forum lingo knowledge, but what the hell does all this talk of stickiness mean?

YO PITTSBURGH MIKE HERE Mar 19, 2006 10:55 AM

It is always at the top of the forum, and here, it has the IMPORTANT sign on it.

knkwzrd Mar 19, 2006 10:17 PM

Then it's most definitely stickied for me, too.

Xpander Mar 20, 2006 06:50 PM

Though minimal, the Entheogenic Experience album is quite nice.

Admiral Amara Mar 21, 2006 12:50 AM

Whatever happened to our idea of Album of the Month, or somesuch? I'd like to see that taken seriously and all - it'd be a great way to promote thread activity and community.

Also, that Brian Eno is the single most minimalist thing I've ever heard outside of some of the Noise that's been put up, but it's nice for going-to-bed music or backgrounds for writing and things like that. It's so very sparse, making continuous use of simple, quiet themes in a strange, pleasantly sterile way. Thanks for that upload.

YO PITTSBURGH MIKE HERE Mar 21, 2006 01:36 AM

Hey guys. I have decided to include this thread in the GFF Soundtrack. It'll be up to the bunch of you to decide which songs to include, so expect a thread in the next couple weeks.

ramoth Mar 21, 2006 01:57 AM

Did anyone like the Dinosaur Jr album I posted? Just curious. Going to make another post tonight.

Double Post:
I would post two albums, but there are some encoding issues on the first track of one of them :( It's not my encode, and I don't have a physical copy of the album with me, sadly.

YO PITTSBURGH MIKE HERE Mar 21, 2006 02:15 AM

Iwata, get ramoth here "Forever Changes". He hasn't heard it yet.

NovaX Mar 21, 2006 06:01 AM

Iwata do you have T. Rex's Electric Warrior also? I thought I had it on CD, but I seem to misplaced it or never had it in the first place.

Also knkwzrd, that's probably the best sig pic I've seen in a while. :)
