Quest Experience to Gold Conversion at Level 60

Previously, quest experience was wasted if one completed a quest at level 60. In this patch, any quests done at maximum level will have their experience reward converted to a healthy amount of gold, thus adding additional incentive to completing those quests in your log once you hit 60.

Clever.

dagget Mar 7, 2006 09:20 PM

yeah, but it's not retroactive :(

Ustesar Mar 8, 2006 05:08 AM

Anyone knows the link to the EU alliance guild forum where one of the members makes gold by drawing their characters? It was in the old WoW thread before the crash.

Draenor US - Horde
60 ud mage
60 troll priest

Also from 1.10 Verigan from Bleeding Hollow Server compiled all the .5 tier set graphics:

Wow, all they did was give it a different color scheme (Valor ---> Heroism) but hey, I can live with the blue. :P

Can anyone say inflation?

Grawl Mar 9, 2006 06:59 PM

Inflation.

Also, I got bored of this game. Too many noobs around, no one around to play instances... what fun is left? I didn't play in a month and there's still one week left of my playtime - I uninstalled it.

The_Griffin Mar 10, 2006 12:38 AM

When you get tired of the game, just reroll a different class and the fun is back in the game. It's what I've done... with every class except a pally & a priest.

Am I the only one that finds the warlock class incredibly BORING?

galen Mar 10, 2006 12:44 AM

If you think warlock is boring, roll a priest.

I jumped ship and my alliance characters are now on Malorne. Not that anyone cares.

Taco Mar 10, 2006 06:35 AM

I just got my mount the other day, I'm so happy XD I love my robotic chicken.

Now I'm constantly trying to find groups to do Uldaman, for quests and exp. The last time I went I was winning roll after roll on greed items. It was awesome. My group usually has one member bail towards the end, though, either the tank or the priest. It falls apart after that.

Talbain Mar 10, 2006 11:49 AM

If you're bored, try to join a guild. Playing with a group or at least having people you can consistently socialize with is a major plus. The reason I got into this game was so that I could play with RL friends, one of which lives in California now.

I would never be able to play only with PUGs. It just wouldn't work.

Taco Mar 10, 2006 04:15 PM

That's what I do. The people from my school who play I don't really like, so I don't play on their server, but a bunch of people I work with all play on one server and I get along with them really well.

We'd be grouping more often but our main tank was grounded. Too much WoW, too little... everything else.:cow:

LivingDreams Mar 10, 2006 09:25 PM

How do you get to that place Stratholme? I know it's supposed to be in the northern part of eastern plague lands or w/e it's called but I dont even know how to reach there.

dagget Mar 11, 2006 12:14 AM

It's in Northern eastern plaguelands. Just travel the road and head north where it splits. Just watch out for the Crimson Courier :tpg:

The_Griffin Mar 11, 2006 12:17 AM

Crimson Courier? Why is he :tpg:-worthy?

Forgive a noob, my main has only gotten as far as a partial run of Uldaman.

If you run into the Courier along the road, he and his convoy will swarm you and kill you almost instantly.

dagget Mar 12, 2006 01:05 AM

Everyone... and I'm not exaggerating when I say everyone who gets into the plaguelands, finds themselves dead from her and her entourage. Most of the time, it's a sneak attack! =o

Today was a good day for me. First Valor helm finally drops for me, then I get my final two stitchings and create my Breastplate of the Chromatic Flight!

Then in MC, I won the plans to create some kind of elemental stone as well!

Got to Baron Geddeon and died. Tips people? (and yes, I know FR.)

Split the raid up into 4 groups in a semi-circle in Garr's room. Make sure that each group has a designated debuffer.

Make sure you get that Ignite Mana debuff removed as soon as possible. Seeing that you have a level 60 Orc, I'm assuming you are on the Horde for this fight. I would suggest using mana totems believe it or not as your healers will be blowing a lot of mana on dispel, heals, and they lose some from Ignite Mana. Only use FR totem in the case of the main tank.

When Geddon pulses, all of your melee needs to GET away. Because his pulses will only become more and more intense.

As for The Bomb, you'll want to let mages know that they can use iceblock to remove the effect now if they already don't know.

khan0plinger Mar 12, 2006 08:43 PM

This might be an noob question but I only started playing this game back in December. What is the addon/ui that lets you see your location? Places like thottbot list coordinates in forms of #s...but i cannot find out how to use this. I thought it was Cosmos but for some reason thats not doing it for me.

IAmABanana Mar 12, 2006 08:48 PM

As an alternative, you can clear all the lava packs and then do Geddon just in front of the mouth of the tunnel. Have all the people with bomb jump in the lava to your right, make sure everyone is paying attention though. Otherwise, its' just avoid the pulses, dps, tank and collect loot.

We've done Geddon this way since we accidentally pulled him on a lava pack a couple months back. Works everytime, even when our people with the bomb intentionally stay in the middle of the group. Then again, we're all geared out the ass, with most of nearing completion of our T2 sets or otherwise finished with them. We treat MC like one big time trial now, our current record is just under 2 hours.

Try the Atlas UI mod. It not only gives you X/Y coordinates (I think), but it also gives you maps of every instance in the game (which isn't as many as I thought there were :tpg: ). Just make sure that you uncheck "Replace world map" in the options (found in the instance map screen).
