Achievement requests (again!)
 

Since the old achievement request thread got buried, and we've suddenly seen an influx of people playing vidya together again, I figured I'd create a new threat to bring back this idea.

Anyone have Lego Star-wars: TCS for 360 that can do a quick online level with me so I can get one of the remaining two achievements I have left?

Given there is no chance whatsoever of me ever getting the Devastator achievement in Space Marine legit (Get 10 times as many kills as deaths in a multiplayer match), once Exterminatus drops and people are playing this again I'd be up for a brief bit of boosting.

Sorry Shade, I got that Lego Star Wars achievement and traded the game in like 2 months ago :(

That one was kinda a pain in the ass, at any given time there were usually only a few games showing and I would usually get disconnected before joining. Just as a FYI though you do not need to play through the whole level from start to finish, I joined a guy who was like two-thirds through the level and still got it when we beat it.

I'm definitely interested in helping out. This is also the last Achievement I need for this game to be at 100%. I'll try sending a Friend Request.

Yeah I know, I read the achievement guide about it. You could essentially join a person who is near the end of the level and just walk through the exit to get credit.

Oh that was you, okay. I got a random friend request and didn't recognize the name and was like "Uh...", but the request is still pending. I'll accept it when I get home.

More achievement co-operation help!

This time for Forza 4, since it has two that involve owning some expensive subset of cars. The top set in this table includes three Ferraris needed for the bottom set, but there are no repeats.

Quote and check off what you have and don't have and some approximate credit values to see what we can split things up appropriately amongst us, trade and obtain all achievements.

Sorry I missed your request yesterday. I was in the middle of a final boss battle when you sent it and by the time I was done, you had disappeared. We'll have to try again soon.

Just need a couple of nerds to spot me the Testa Rosa and DBR1.

I will focus on the DBR-1 for the time being. If we focus on that and the 250 TR, we can obtain the Taste achievement and then flip the DBR for enough cash to purchase about 2/3rds of the remaining Ferraris.

I am considering flipping about half the high level reward cars too. There are no real X events and the LMP1 class cars can just be used straight out of the manufacturer page for online.

They aren't worth much though.

DBR-1 has been gotten. It took the combined effort of Omagnus and I but we grabbed it.

1.5 M remaining after a few more level ups afterward. Russ, we should combine what we've got and go for the TR tonight.

We should be pretty close to the TR after tonight then. I'm at approximately 4 million now, and should be able to book another million or so tonight. I think TRs can be had for 7 million on auction house, for a savings of 1 million. After you flip the DBR1 for cost and purchase 5 million worth of Ferraris, we will be what, less than 5 million from Ferrari achievement?

How much does the Daytona go for on Auction? Probably not a lot but hopefully enough to throw it off some?

I don't think it is much, but it is one of the cars that I actually drive.

People are dumb as balls. Making a profit on the DBR-1. Selling it for over new price and for over what I paid for it. How ridiculous.

List reduced to who's going for it instead of all who own it.

Should be able to clear this tomorrow with a little bit of clever auction diving.

Oh, so the maps are on the disc then? Or is there a free version of the pack then I'd have to grab that lets me participate as a party member only?

So what you're saying is that they are asking people to pay an extra number of bucks to access content that shipped with the game. My mind is boggled.

Don't be mad at me because you paid for "DLC" that was already on the disc, be mad at Epic and/or Microsoft. They're the ones who have not only taken your money, but also your dignity.

Relax, Garr. He's not snarking about you being a douche, but about Epic and/or Microsoft having douchey DLC practices. Which, you know, it's pretty hard to argue against given the current situation.

Fuck dignity, be upset that stuff like this is becoming increasingly commonplace.
