Converting .ape with .cue to MP3's
I have these files:
http://systema.googlepages.com/ape.jpg I'd just like to convert it to maybe 320kbps mp3 tracks from the single ape image. Can anyone suggest the easiest way to do this? I looked at the proper ripping from CD to lossless, but it didn't really apply to my situation. Thanks. |
Open the cdimage.ape.cue file in foobar (make sure you have cue sheet parser as well as monkeys audio plugins), then use the converter.

Worked, thanks. Apparently, I needed the LAME encoder too.

I was just about to make a thread about this too. I've got a copy of the Gurren Lagann OST (HQ) and I've been meaning to convert it for use on my PSP.

Completly baffled by this APE format. Which convetor should I use and what plugins do I need?

It's really quite easy. Download Foobar2000, if you don't already have it. I'm not sure if Foobar natively supports .APE format, but, if not, there's a plugin you can download for it here.
Next, make sure that your .APE file and .CUE are in the same directoy, and load the .CUE in Foobar. After that, right click the tracknames, select convert to... and choose your plugin of choice (FLAC, LAME, etc.) If you don't have LAME, you can find it here. |
Easier is to download Monkey's Audio program (the makers of APE) and run it. You only have to load the ape (I think the cue has to be in the same folder) and then hit 'decompress', and a wav is made of it.
