Poetry, Photography, Digital Art, and more...
Yeah dA was great, but then I decided to start my own web site to host all of my "deviations". For the most part I was known for my poetry on dA, but I dabble in quite a few different mediums. I have a somewhat impressive photography gallery, along with some different forms of digital art.
http://www.cyantre.com I've been told by other that I have a great way of expressing myself through poetry, which is very flattering. So if you're into reading poetry you could read some of my poems if you wanted to. If not, there's plenty of other things on my web site as well. |
From what I've read of your poems, they're quite interesting. Will you publish them?
|
I don't know, I never thought about doing that before...
Thanks, by the way. =) |
Oh, you're welcome! You might want to consider copyrighting your stuff so people won't steal it. Nothing's worse than writing something original and then seeing someone using part or all of it as their own somewhere else.
|
There's a little copyright symbol on the bottom of each page. That's about all I can do (I think).

the photography isn't bad. 'tis a shame the pictures are so small though. "Water Gap" was my favourite... where was this photo taken?
also I have a bit of a gripe with your Minimalism section under Digital Art. none of it is actually minimalism. it's more... graphic design/symbols, or what have you. definitely not minimalism though. |
"Water Gap" was taken at the Delaware Water Gap. The only reason for the small pictures is because of file size, I suppose I could add a "View Large" link underneath the photographs.
What is minimalism to you? Maybe I just don't understand the concept. |
The text in most of them seems out of place, for one.

well there's your basic definition. there's not much else to say other than what's there. essentially, you're conveying an idea using the absolute bare minimum. when it comes to art, it's the simplest shapes [circle, square, triangle], simplest compositions possible, simplist colour schemes, etc etc. try a google image search for minimalist art and you'll probably catch on pretty quickly. also yes, view large would be radtacular. generally the bigger the picture is, the better it'll look. |
Where should the text be? If you look on deviantART under the minimalism gallery, I'm sure you'll find that a large percentage of the art submitted there isn't minimalism either.
How would you feel if I renamed that section, Visual Poetry? Check the "Water Gap" photo. I added a link so you could view it a 2x the size. I'll go back and do that with the rest of the photos too. |
Is that by any chance a billabong?
EDIT: Nope, I guess not >_<. It's been years since I did any geography. |
I don't know... It's just the Delaware Water Gap from the top.
from deviantART Gallery: Minimalism Any art digital or traditional image that has a very clean look with minimal imagery. (It may not be true minimalism, but it's close enough for me.) |
Your pixel art reminds me of a site that I've seen called www.habbo.com! I think under each section of your site there should be little like, 64x64 thumbnails of the pictures in that section.
That way the users would find it easier to click on the picture's that interest them. Just a suggestion! |
Long time no see mate ^_^.

I liked the poetry the photographs however were a bit of the same.
They're good pictures yes, but maybe you should do something a little more artsy with your camera. I love the rest of the site by the way. |
