I've heard nothing but good things about Cave Story. Not entirely sure what type of game it is, but I'll pick up it regardless. I have a bunch of Wii Points burning a hole in my pocket and nothing to purchase with them.

I was just thinking today about how I should stop being lazy and find Cave Story for download somewhere. I played a good amount of it on my old computer, but deleted the installation and patch files so I couldn't transfer it over when the laptop started overheating. Thank you WiiWare, for allowing me to continue being a lazy bum.

Wow, that was fast. Still, now that this is announced for Wii I'm gonna hold off since I'll enjoy it a lot more playing with an actual controller. I've never gotten around to buying one for my PC since I don't bother with emulators. I'll grab that soundtrack zip file though.

Cave Story is essentially Super Metroid with animal friends.

What strikes me as silly is that, like the above, a port of years old PC freeware is going to end up being one of the best titles released in months on the thing. I haven't quite made up my mind if that's hilarious or sad yet, though.

rRootage is also sick awesome, but I prefer Cave Story.

On an unrelated note, how the fuck do I go to hard route instead of the easy route? First playthrough I did the hard route somehow but fucked up so I couldn't get the best ending, second playthrough the tow rope never appeared to start with and I gave up out of frustration, and now I'm on my third playthrough and really anxious about fucking up and missing out on the best ending AGAIN.

The only thing I hear from it (literally) is arrangement that people had done in Band Brothers. Usually I need to play the game before I could enjoy the music. Since I like the music I guess I'll be getting the game too. XD

I hope this comes out soon.

Also, I'm amused that there's no Japanese release date.

Finally, the guy who made this will get his money worth. I hope! Either way though, you can bet I'll contribute to this even though I played this on pc.

Well I never played Cave Story, but I'm glad to see an indie developers getting more exposure for his work. If reviews are good then I'll pick it up :)
