Edit: I have a hard time deciding on games being beaten or completed, since a lot of games don't even really have extra stuff but I already had a little private list of my own that I put up there and I can edit it whenever, I guess. Neat idea/site.

I just want to point out that my page proves I'm more awesome than all of you.

I am the one responsible for the ZX Spectrum being included recently, so yeah. And I don't necessarily own everything (like them arcade games), just adding stuff I've beaten. Still a WIP.

I just dug out all my old GB games from under the bed to add to my list. Unfortunately, I now have a skewed list in favour of 'unfinished games' thanks to my new additions. Golly, I sure bought lots of crap GB games back in the day. Never won them 'cause they sucked. What was I thinking?

Aside from awesome games like Operation C and Nemesis, I also got games such as Heiankyo Alien and Boomer's Adventure in ASMIK World. Heck, both are the exact same game, except with different graphics. Why the hell did I get them? I don't know!

I see their to do list has a thing regarding status of games as rentals/borrowed. So once they finally get that implemented, I will fill my list with games I don't really own!

I've got my page looking all nice and spiffy now with this amazing banner and some background colors that may or may not go well together. Now all I have to do is figure out which 25 of you I like better than the rest.

And gawd, I think everyone wants to be member of the week. Part of the criteria is having a nice page. I honestly think everyone before us doesn't stand a chance against what we're bring to the table.

I really wouldn't be surprised if Infernal was the member of the week next week. Another part of it is just being plain awesome (and Infernal reeks awesome). And if it happens, I so fucking called it.

But sheesh, everyone's banner looks cooler than mine. :(

I was actually wondering about who still goes on backloggery. I've looked at people's lists and they seem to be pretty much the same from when we were all first excited about it, and no new comments have really appeared.

I don't go around looking at other folk's pages anymore, because as you said, they don't get updated, but I've been keeping mine up to date. Mostly because I have time to kill more than anything else.

I update mine all the time, but I don't really see any big changes on other people's sites. It's a cool way to keep track of all your games :3

I've pretty much been playing Brawl and I haven't gotten many new games as of lately, so there's no reason for me to update it at the time. :|

I generally keep what I'm playing up to date, but I still haven't added in all of my games yet (mainly just my DS games). While I still consider it a valuable resource for keeping track of games, the whole community aspect of it just isn't really there.

Oh my, this was quite unexpected!

Although, I did use the most awesome image I've ever seen on the Internet. I think a hilarious banner is probably the deciding factor in this Member of the Week thing. In any case, score for Team GFF. :D

BTW, is there a way to check who you're a friend of? I want to bask in my newfound popularity!

I try to keep mine updated as much as I can (like every time I buy a game and such), but I don't have that much time to play anyway and I'm mostly playing Persona 3 at the moment, which is a HUGE game.

Yeah, I just found out Persona 3 FES is coming out next month. DO WANT.

Also a fun thing to do is to count how many people on "Latest Updates" are from GFF. :)

Out of curiosity, do you guys own all the games you list on your backloggery?

Most of them I still own and all of them I owned at some time. Otherwise it would be crazy... With all the ROMs and whatnot.

EDIT: Oh, I guess I did put Ducktales 2 on there when I was playing that, that was just a ROM. But yeah, other than that, I own(ed) them all.

Yeah, if I've beaten a game it'll go on the list whether I own it or not. Same goes for if I've made significant progress in an emulator or somesuch. So that might explain my ridiculously inflated numbers.

A couple of the 360 titles I no longer own, but everything else is sat on a shelf somewhere.

Not at all! I trade in games without hesitation, and have only less than 20 sitting around here now. The important point for me is having experienced the game, whether or not I actually have it physically. That way, if someone looks at my list, it's up for discussion.

I only put down games that I still own, though there are a couple that people are borrowing from me at the moment. I do intend on getting them back.

And congrats Dhsu, on being member of the week with the awesome shark pictures. 3 weeks out 5 keeps GFF in a majority still.

Some I own, some are ROMs I've downloaded on my computer or put on my CycloDS, but the good majority is owning the game.

Probably about 10% of my collection is downloaded.

I own most of my games. The only ones I don't own are GBA titles, which are on my M3 card. I own all of my VC (obviously), Wii, GC, PS1, PS2, and DS games.

I own all the shitty games on my list. :cmb: Although Terminator 2 for NES might not count anymore since it's actually pieces of a broken cart in the box and I ignore it but it just doesn't go away!

Major props to Philia for not only creating a nifty banner for my page, but also volunteering to revamp the colors to match it. My Backloggery no longer looks quite so... radioactive. I still need to add the banner's text, but my only programs for that are on my old computer which overheats and shuts itself off after 45 minutes at the most. Damn my old bookmarks for causing me to waste that precious time.

List contains games I; own, have owned at some point in time a maybe still do, might own, don't own but have played like hell (e.g. arcade stuff). I'm not really digging the discrepancy in game titles that many have that separate what notes and comments some may have for a game, but I'm gonna refer to GameFAQs and use whatever they have listed as a game title in the mean time.

I still need to go through and add NES titles as well as do a little more differentiation between Beaten and Complete titles.

I've gone back and ranked every game I listed, added some more, and updated their Owned status. I'll go through and add comments at some point, but there's a lot of games I'm missing, and that's my priority.

I added a TON of games last night. I don't think I got them all, though. Added mostly stuff from old-gen, and a bunch of NDS games. My completion rate for NDS is TERRIBLE.

Also, new banner to go along with the Vesperia craze. I'm pretty happy with it.

Updated my game list as well as ranked every game I have, save for the ones I just got with my 360 yesterday and haven't played. I also updated the index on the opening post so go stalk your (not-so) favorite GFFer elsewhere today!

Just for clarification on how to be a MotW or to know some background for anyone who wishes to know.

I frequently browse through another forum, GAF, and in one of the threads SD had posted in, I saw a post that linked to Backloggery back in late February. I was taken back by simple design with a practical purpose and I figured oh yeah, I bet GFF would love this.

And almost in no time, Acer got to be the Member of the Week. We (both me and Acer) were surprised but in the same turn, that turned out to be intoxicating for anyone who just signed up for Backloggery, who doesn't want to be on the front page for a week?

Besides having nice collections, we already had decent amount of people HERE who had great color/banner ideas for their pages as well as great manner with others (GFFers). :)

I personally like to think that besides having a nice design and a nice collection, getting yourself known as well as friendly across the board, you'd be up there eventually like myself. I'm not going to lie, my collection is insane, and I only used simple green tones (then). However, I began to realize why I was elected was because I was friendly and helpful as well as giving up plenty of opinions in other backloggers' pages. In this particular case, just around before I was a motw, I was giving Draconis plenty of DW7 advice that would take up your comment section completely. The kind of advice that you wouldn't even find on GameFAQs anymore from a simple question from him on "what classes should I take". O.o' (I really wanted his experience with DW7 to be at least enjoyable. AND IT WAS! :D)

Also, I think the comments/descriptions makes up for the MotW factor too, not to mention the footer of your page as well. :D So if you really want to be MotW, you'll have to be doing something special!

Oh yeah, and they do frown upon those who abused the "mastered" status.

Anyway, out of all this, I just wanted to say thank you guys (motw or not), for being so awesome gamers to begin with.

Well, looks like Member of the Week feature is officially retired.

They also now include member specific badges for a specific type of u/b/f collections you have.

I heard about that, too! I was hoping to get MotW sometime, but... Oh well. D:

What about these badges? I don't know where they are, or anything. All the changelog says is that they exist. What exactly are they?

They're located beside your avatar, underneath gamertags and such. You don't have any, oddly enough. It'll be a neat system once they add some more, but at the moment there are only like 2 badges non-member of the week people could have at the same time. You can read about them all in the updated FAQ.

Well, since we're all talking about this, I guess it's a good time to mention I have one of these as well. I'm adding games as I go along, and this is definitely not my full backlog, but. Ah well, I'll do it soon enough.

The Backloggery

You possibly want to link to your actual page rather than your options page link. :p But good work, it takes some doing cataloguing everything you have and getting it listed. Satisfying though, for sure. I have found backloggery to be a really nice way of keeping track of what I'm playing and what I've got left to play (and proves a nice bit of motivation for that too).

Unless you already check it out sometimes (all 2 of you hurr hurr) I've updated my page here. I'm considering if I should hand in my hardcore gamer card at the 500 mark though, some of these games just take too damn long x.x

Yeah, when I initially set it up I thought, why does this exist? This is just some kind of timesink that won't help at all.

But, actually seeing what I have left on some systems is very motivational.... and sometimes depressing. The only thing I haven't beaten on Dreamcast is Shenmue 2, and that's just cause my 3rd disc has a scratch on it and would freeze up during storyline stuff. ;-;

Plus it's a lovely little motivator for marathons and things like Ben's Friends' Challenge, which is a pretty awesome idea. :3

I might actually finish some of those games now. :33:

On second thoughts maybe this club is just what I need, I seem to keep hopping between a bunch of games lately but not finishing any.

I only tend to update mine when Omagnus or Meia remind me, but I just added all my PS2 games (All 64 of them, didn't realise I had that many). Mine's now almost an up to date list, almost.

Has anyone checked out howlongtobeat.com? I know the site looks kind of amateurish, but I like how it keeps track of the length of time it takes to beat the game so you can kind of guage how much soul sucking is required. I wish they had a signature you could make like backloggery.com does....
