Does Osama have a chance?

Bush wanted this bloke dead or alive. After five years he still hasn't been found, not after the war in Afghanistan (and apparently he wasn't hiding in Iraq either). In fact the last we heard of him was in early September 2006, where it was determined that nobody had a clue. That's nearly six months ago.

Will anyone ever find him? ....does it even matter anymore?

Thanatos Feb 22, 2007 10:28 AM

Either this is an attempt to mock that Obama thread, or you really mean it.

(chances are, it's both, though)

On topic, I think nobody gives a damn whether he's alive or dead anymore. That Iranian President is a far more dangerous figure in the eyes of Bush anyway.

Take a look at the last picture we saw of him. Take a good long look.

He's kinda old, don't ya think?

I've often thought he could easily be dead. The last time anyone 'saw' him it was only a video recording that could have been made at any time.

He was a phantom conjured up by the Bush Administration in the first place... so... it makes it pretty easy for him to just vanish after he's no longer needed.

I'm sure that 'Osama' orchestrated the 9/11 attacks about as sure as I am that Saddam Hussein 'has weapons of mass destruction' and was 'hanged' (which conveniently everyone has already forgotten about).

We've thought that Castro was "kinda old" as well, but he's proven to be immortal thus far.

Well, Osama did kinda claim credit for the 9/11 attack in the vid he released. And whether or not Hussein had WOMDs or not, he was hanged.

The Bush Administration must be truly powerful conjurers if they were able to summon up phantoms years before they took office.

Is Castro on the run, suffering harsh conditions on a daily basis in an attempt to evade capture? I'd imagine that might have the effect of shortening the life of Osama Bin Laden.

I take your point though. Especially as Castro is so fond of his stogies.

At this rate, I think old age is going to get him sooner then Bush does.

Thanatos Feb 22, 2007 10:54 PM

By the same note, Castro is almost dead, even with the doctors and stuff around him, so.. I suppose Osama probably is dead too.

Good logic. I'll be sure to use that same line of thinking when I take the LSAT.

I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter where Osama is now. Its been a long time since any has even mentioned him, it seems nowadays all the announcements are being made my Osama's right hand man and Al-Qaida's 2nd in command, even though by now its certainly possible he has been promoted to leader.

Or he could still be huddled up in some cave somewhere out in the mountain ranges of the middle east.

That, or they planned this up long in advance. I'm not even talking about 'W here, Sr. would have had the right connections to conjure up some phantoms and had/has enough connections in the Middle East to pull it off.

Also, a video tape of Osama saying he did it is pretty worthless. I could say I did it and video tape it, but that would be pretty stupid of me and no one would believe it. Why? Because the government has acknowledged that Osama did it, just based on the fact that he said he did!

We'll never ever know if Osama is really dead (discarding 50 years from now, unless he truly is immortal). Because of all the look alikes both him and Saddam had/have, it'll be really tough to actually determine whether its the real Osama or not. Unless somewhere we have a DNA sample of him.

So, I'd say that 50 years from now, we can definitely say that Osama will be dead.

Not if he's a cyborg.
