I really enjoyed the intro Simo posted, even if I can't understand not 2% of what they say I can guess what it means.
I just don't see why use chocobos in a fight when you have flying machines with guns ... But I won't complain since the chocobos looked really cool in that armor. |

Speaking of Chocobos, here's a short clip from Bebpo at Gaming-Age controlling a Chocobo. You also get a sample of the "Chocobo Theme" in the clip too: http://www.playsyde.com/leech_2280_en.html |
So FFXII is going to coincide with the release of PS3, or what.

it's like the game has been delayed for two years and now Square is like "shit we forgot the translation" But i sense commercial purpouses behind all that ... i think i have a 6th sense :cow: |

The voice acting is top-notch, and the graphcis seem very sharp, nice textures and character models. The music has been great so far. What's really nice is the ability to pan the camera around and look wherever you want. The lack of this ability was a fatal flaw in FFX, IMO. I really wish that I could read Japanese, because I really can't get any more out of this. Well, it's nice to have anyway. |
The Strike of the Blade is fantastic!!!

Probably a combination of PR and getting Translation done with. |

Is it just me or does Penelo's Theme sound really familiar. The second part is obviously a variation of one of those FF12 themes but I'm sure I've heard the first part elsewhere before. At first I thought it would be Nobunaga's Ambition, but it's not...

I fully intend on buying a copy when it comes out here, at which point I won't need the Japanese copy any more. Besides, it's not like they actually lost any money.
|
True, but by the time it's released out of japan(November) you could of completed it not knowing japanese.
I don't have the patience for foreign material myself, as much as I'd love to involve myself with the Sakura Taisen series, if it isn't in english I'll pretty much give it up. You still have quite a long wait. Gamefaqs will probably have a translation/guide up within a month. |

I don't usually bother with japanese games that aren't pretty straight foward. You have the easy, understandable games which are in japanese but that's irrelevant.
Shooting games, fighting games, arcade games. Hell, even arcade games can be confusing - the japanese copy of Taiko no Tatsujin has traditional horizontal japanese bars and nothing's translated. I can only remember what I've discovered through trial and error. The only RPG in japanese I own is Chrono Trigger, and even I haven't completed it. It just isn't the same. Apparently XII isn't as startling enough to complete through even though the language barrier is there. |
