There's a link in the thread I created here in Board Support (That Styphon rightly locked as Sass had mentioned it here).

I support russ's theory that Fyodor did it.

Hey, here is a hopefully simple request:
Can the number of characters allowed for use in the mood box be extended? Perhaps to 15 or 20 characters, or just long enough to allow usage of any of GFF's smilies?

Lady Miyomi May 30, 2006 11:22 PM

The only problem now is when someone makes a private entry, the title of it appears in their profile. Can this be fixed? The same problem is with comments of private entries. People can see the comments being made, but they can't see the entry.

pompadork Jun 2, 2006 10:38 AM

Could you maybe limit the number of entries someone can make per day? As cool as it is cooling at 13 entries by Spatula a day...

I poked it and it made a sad sound Jun 2, 2006 11:44 AM

I will NEVER understand your point about this.

The journals are there so you can write whatever you want, whenever you want. There's already a 1-hour limit. I don't see what you have against someone making an entry every hour for 24 hours.

You can just ignore it, like the rest of us.

Peter Jun 8, 2006 11:26 AM

Just a small note: by using the "20 last comments made by User x" future, you can also acces the comment section of private entries. Although you're not able to go back to the actual private entry, I remember this being fixed on the old boards.

Interrobang Jul 1, 2006 04:59 PM

bobo hasn't accounted for the "Last 20 comments" in regards to private journal entry comments. For example, clicking the Women Are Proof That God Hates Man comment listed in Bradylama's last 20 comments leads to the comment section of one of LeHah's private entries.

I have a large chunk of comments made in my journal by someone without a name.

Maybe it's Elixir. I don't know if display name affects ChocoPie, but Elixir's display name is a null set.

Sorry I offended you. Will you ever forgive me?

THERE IS TOO MUCH SARCASM IN THE PRECEDING TWO POSTS.

PROCEEDING TO CORRECT BY BEING RETARDED.

Infernal Monkey Jul 25, 2006 05:42 AM

Has this been brought up before? Dunno! But I was in a proppin' mood today, so much so that I ran out! And now when I click the prop thing, I get this instead of a "YOU OUTTA PROPZZZ" or something message;

http://img163.imageshack.us/img163/9...sborkedrg4.png

Bigblah Jul 25, 2006 06:25 AM

That looks like a missing phrase message. I'll look into it, should be fixable without any changes to the journal code itself.

Edit: Should be fixed now.

nazpyro Aug 8, 2006 10:11 PM

El Ray Fernando suggested this feature a few months ago, but it didn't seem to get noticed. Not that me posting it will get it noticed, but poll options in the chocojournal would be neato. Kthx.

FatsDomino Aug 9, 2006 08:07 AM

Yeah, that does sound neat. But it would have to be done neatly inside the entry somehow.

Sarag Aug 17, 2006 02:16 AM

Don't know if it was already addressed, but when you run up against your limit for max props per day, the error message doesn't display properly. It - here, I'll just show you.

http://www.slightlydark.com/fireleml.../max_props.jpg

I can't scroll the window obvs, and I can't resize it.

Double Post:
wtf, it's fixed now. That was either fast or a site hiccup. n/m

Bigblah Aug 17, 2006 06:43 AM

Yeah, I fixed the code. Turns out it wasn't the error phrase.

Infernal Monkey Aug 17, 2006 08:29 AM

Oh yeah, I came across a really serious internet destroying bug tonight. Better step back for this one!

See like, if you type any old title in liiike

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y13...entrycool1.png

And then preview the entry

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y13...entrycool2.png
Everyone's A-OK thumbs up!

BUT, if you put little THINGIES either side of your title like so

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y13...entrycool3.png

And you preview the entry..

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y13...entrycool4.png

THE TITLE HAS VANISHED! What a horrible crisis! One could simply copy and paste it back, but this would require maybe two or three more seconds of effort!

nazpyro Aug 17, 2006 09:12 AM

There's also a fun little bug when you put HTML-style comments in the journal entry and don't close it, e.g.

Journal Entry:
Code:

blah blah blah
<!--
la la la

then preview or what-not. BAM! Buttons gone. The rest of the HTML for the page ends up in the journal entry box. :p

Sarag Aug 17, 2006 12:20 PM

Speaking of weird html, whenever I use quotes in comments they always get escaped out into &quot or something similar like that.

That should be fixed now. Also, the preview should no longer parse HTML tags in the title =p

Let me know if anything else breaks due to this fix...

I can't seem to reproduce that bug.

Infernal Monkey Aug 18, 2006 08:39 AM

Yes! You have saved many seconds in the future! Thanks Blah. <3

Ah... it used to happen in Firefox. But I just tried it and it all was ok. But the bug does happen in Internet Explorer. Different stuff also break in Opera.

packrat Sep 22, 2006 03:44 AM

Ok, this isn't just in Chocojournal, but in all all of the forums; I have noticed that there is a problem with text continuity. Basically, when I try to write a lot of continuous text, it automatically inserts a space in what seems to be random spots. For example, I was just trying to make a large matrix of ":dopey_love:" faces into the shape of the phrase "LOL," and it breaks the text up. What can be done about this travesty?

Also, in the spoilers is an example of what I had so far in my journal.
Spoiler:
:dopey_love:____________:dopey_love::dopey_love::d opey_love:
:dopey_love:___________:dopey_love:____:dopey_love :
:dopey_love:___________:dopey_love:____:dopey_love :
:dopey_love:___________:dopey_love:____:dopey_love :
:dopey_love:___________:dopey_love:____:dopey_love :
:dopey_love:___________:dopey_love:____:dopey_love :
:dopey_love::dopey_love::dopey_love::dopey_love:__ ____:dopey_love::dopey_love::dopey_love:

Thanks.
