Oh! Great was responsible for Tenjou Tenge, and now he's back to terrorize us with another one of his works turned anime, and it involves ridiculously overpowered rollerblades. And girls. What were you expecting?

So, our protagonist Minami Itsuki ("Ikki") lives with the Noyamano sisters for some reason, and the household hierarchy is like this:

Unbeknownst to him, the Noyamano sisters are also accomplished "Air Trek" (rollerblades with ELECTRICITY!) users with their own group called "Sleeping Forest":

Eventually Ikki discovers their Air Trek stash, steals one and goes rollerblading.

The soundtrack (by skankfunk, Wall5 Project and Masaki Sakamoto) is simply awesome. Unlike Yasunori Iwasaki's abortion of a soundtrack for Tenjou Tenge (what happened to you ;_;) this one fits the theme of the show perfectly. I'd watch this show just for the music alone.

Yeah, totaly went and freakin' well used the WORST censor in the bath scene, damnit, just put some door in the way or somthin, guys! Make it plausible!

As for the Anime it self I just LOVE IT!! A lot of humor and good fun. Non stop action and everything makes me want more and more!! Opening and ending theme is great will goto rip it in a sec. Can't wait for more!! I'm even thinking about looking for Manga.

Do you know where to get the manga? is out in the US now?

Personally I didn't really like AIR GEAR's animation too much. The manga takes itself a lot more seriously than this. Even Tenjou Tenge was serious about what it was doing, but this is a bit childish. I noticed this happening for a few series recently, like Black Cat.

It's got potential, I won't really go down on it too hard since its only the first episode, but it really depends on where they go from here.

I've read up to chapter 57 of the manga, and I'll be probably be checking out the anime as well just to see if it's any good.
Judging from the screenshots and descriptions on the first post, there are already some minor differences between the anime and manga, nothing much...

Found it on one of the sites but it's not free... need to look more =) Even if it's not released in US you can always read scanlations.

for sure this is damn near the best show of the season well.. at least the coolest

I really enjoyed this one, as BigBlah said, I'll watch this for the music alone if nothing else. Especially the opening, I've had it playing over and over since I got it from this thread.

But all i know is that I have seen up to volume 6 or 7 raw. Also the manga is strickly Oh Great! style... lotsa fan service!! :D

It's not surprising that this could be a really good anime series since it came from the makers of one of my facorite animes: Tenjou Tenge. Like Bigblah said, the music is Kickass and so far, it's best new anime i've seen this year. (Even though it's only 1 episode). I've grabbed some new anime, like Kiba, Soul Link, Capeta, xxxHolic, Noein, and Disgaea..., but AG impressed me the most.
The others were good, but AG is a step ahgead mof them. it's more fun than the others. it's like a preson grabbing your collar and begging you to listen to what they're saying. Needless to say, it got my attention.

you can get the chapters off of irc and occasionaly they post the new ones on tokyotosho.

After seeing ep 2, it's turning out to be pretty corny. I hope it gets better.

As for me Air Gear is one of the best Anime this Season =) Right next to Ergo Proxy =).

I think it's a pretty awesome series. Oh! Great has yet to disappoint me, hehe.. As far as being the best anime this year so far, I still prefer Ergo Proxy over this, but Air Gear has excellent potential. I'll be making efforts to keep up to date with the latest episodes. :)

Yeah.. So far, I quite like it. A fresh concept for anime (I don't remember seeing anything like it, at least, but I don't watch that much anime), and great music! I'll be eagerly awaiting for a soundtrack~

Episode 2 was pretty cool; it gave some more definition to the characters' personalities (specifically Simca, who = <3). I look forward to episode (or should I say Trick?) 3.

I cound't wait till I get home so I download it at work =P Well boss was not there so I could watch it for a moment or two. Later I just put it on my MP3 player and took home =D. Now after all this cleaning and stuff I'll take a shower and watch it =)
