School

Yes yes, I know it's about a month away and no one can seem to wait anymore (OH GOD, so much sarcasm), but I'm interested in seeing which school everyone is attending and studying which subjects.

Me? I'm currently enrolled in my first year in the forensic sciences program at the University of Toronto at Mississauga. Its a pretty tough course to get into (~80%+), and I need to work my ass off since I need to actually apply for the specialist in biology program in February and depending on how good my marks are at the end of the year, I may be able to get an internship and already work during the summer. There are only 60 spots, so the university will be VERY picky with whose gets chosen.

Here are my two timetables:

LEC - LECTURE
PRA - LAB
TUT - TUTORIAL

GGR117Y5 - GEOGRAPHY
FSC239Y5 - INTRODUCTION TO FORENSIC SCIENCES
BIO152H5 - EVOLUTIONARY GENETICS
BIO153H5 - DIVERSITY OF ORGANISMS
MAT135Y5 - CALCULUS
CHM140Y5 - INTRODUCTION TO CHEMISTRY AND THE STUDY OF TRANSFORMATION

Fall 2006

Winter 2007
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...timetable2.jpg

As of right now, I'm going to have only 1 exam midway through, but a midterm test for chemistry. However, that also means I have 5 exams at the end of the year. So if I mess up on those, I'm dead!

Gechmir Jul 22, 2006 09:32 PM

Oooh, Yama. Didn't know you were a fellow Physicist of sorts =)

Currently I'm wrapping up my third and final summer term. Worthless courses essentially. But hell, I'm a Senior and I'll be done in May '07!

In the fall, I'm taking two Kinesiology courses (required). Also plan on taking an online course through another college to hammer down my Tech. Writing requirement sometime before that semester starts. It has a six-month window after you sign up to complete it. I can steamroll it after summer and before fall.

Anyhow, as for my real meaty courses?
Geophysics: Petroleum Seismology (Freakin' hard. Last GEOP class though! Last semester should've been the worst since I had two GEOP courses concurrently. Ouch)
Math: Topics in Applied Mathematics (Gotta take this then Wavelette Analysis in Fourier series for my Minor. The wave class will help cement my Electromagnetics specialty)
Advanced GIS (Hammering down my third minor shortly after this'un. After this I hafta take some chump course and it's done. Given, this is offered through the Geography department. By default, any class in that place is a chump course around here...)

The latter three will take time. GIS has lotsa projects that require groping around in the darkness for. Math and Geop are their own bag'o tricks.

Won't be too bad at all. Last Spring was the worst semester I'd had by far. It can't get worse than that. If it does, I'll suffer through it. My last semester will be cake and I'm sure this one won't be too bad if I put in time. And I definitely will.

Another physics major here, though beginning my first year (out of 3) at McGill University. My exact program choice is still somewhat fuzzy to tell the truth, not so much because I don't know what I want, but because I haven't been able to make my choice yet. I'm probably going to contact one of the advisors tomorrow to ask when exactly I'm supposed to choose a specific program. I just hope I'm not too late.

Anyway, I'm either going to be in the "Honours Physics" program (ideally), or majoring in physics with a minor in something I haven't decided about yet, most likely mathematics. Assuming I do end up in the honours program, I'll be taking the following courses for the next two terms:

MATH 247 Honours Applied Linear Algebra
MATH 248 Honours Advanced Calculus
MATH 249 Honours Complex Variables
MATH 325 Honours Ordinary Differential Equations
PHYS 241 Signal Processing
PHYS 251 Classical Mechanics 1
PHYS 257 Experimental Methods 1
PHYS 258 Experimental Methods 2
PHYS 260 Modern Physics and Relativity

I'm probably going to enjoy most of that stuff, too.

Arainach Jul 22, 2006 09:52 PM

Year Two of Computer Science at Michigan State University for me. My minor is in Criminal Justice since I'm semi-specializing in Cybersecurity.

Fall 2006:

MUS 114 - Marching Band
CSE 320 - Computer Organization & Architecture (Read: Learning Assembly Language)
CSE 335 - Object-Oriented Software Design (Read: The Weed-Out CS Class filled with Giant Projects)
CJ 110 - Introduction to Criminal Justice (*)
ISS 310 - People and Environment (*)

Spring 2007:

CSE 331 - Algorithms and Data Structures (*)
CSE 410 - Operating Systems
PHY 184 - Physics II for Engineers
PHY 192 - Physics II Lab
CJ 220 - Criminology

(*) are Honors Sections - I'm required to have 8 of them to graduate with honors, which works out to an average of one per semester.

Cellius Jul 22, 2006 09:57 PM

I'll be entering my final year of undergrad. I'm in audio/multimedia for a primary concentration, but really I'm in school for music composition, as I have an extensive music minor that's intended to propel me into grad school for filmscoring. For my last two semesters as an undergrad I plan not to stop composing at all. I hope it'll be a fun year.

Locke Jul 23, 2006 10:30 AM

I'm going into my senior year at Seneca College - I'm just finishing up my flight training (hopefully will have my commercial license by next week, and then my instrument rating by the end of september). Classes for us start on august 21st - I'm not sure exactly what we will be taking - but I seem to remember things about Aircraft Design, Airline Ops, and something about a thesis project.

Mmm... interesting, most of the biology courses are like third year courses, yet are numbered as first year ones? What do they offer as third year bio classes then?

Spyer Jul 23, 2006 01:14 PM

Here are the courses you can take in third year bio:

Marine Biology
Arctice Ecology
Physiology of Neural Systems
Laboratory in Physiology
Physiology of Regulatory Systems
Plant Physiology
Landscape Ecology of Animal Populations
Field Methods and Quantitative Analyses in Ecology
Laboratory in Cell and Molecular Biology
Advanced Cell Biology
Field Course in Ecology
Changing Ontario Environments
Animal Behaviour
Invertebrate Zoology
Functional Morphology of Animals
Lectures in Animal Behaviour
Plant Ecology
Freshwater Biology
Entomology
Mycology
Lectures in Freshwater Biology
Forensic Entomology
Plant Identification and Systematics
Advanced Genetics
Vertebrate Form and Function
Major Features of Vertebrate Evolution
Biometics I
Biometrics II
Microbiology
Microbiology Lectures
Molecular Biology
Human Development

And you wouldn't take all of these, if you're wondering. If you're specializing, you would only pick certain ones, but I think most of you already know that.

Retriever II Jul 23, 2006 06:30 PM

Going into my third year of Computer Science at University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Also working towards a minor in Mathematics. I'll be taking Ordinary Differential Equasions for Scientists and Engineers in the fall, and I'm kind of expecting it to knock my socks off, just given everyone else's experience with that course. >_<.

Fall:
CMPSCI 320: Introduction to Software Engineering
CMPSCI 320H: Honors Colloqueum
CMPSCI 383: Artificial Intelligence
MATH 331: Ordinary Differential Equasions for Scientists and Engineers
PHYSICS 151: Physics 1
PHYSICS 153: Physics 1 Lab

Spring:
CMPSCI 377: Operating Systems
CMPSCI 305: Ethics in Computing (Writing Class)
MATH 455: Discrete Structures
PHYSICS 152: Physics 2
PHYSICS 154: Physics 2 Lab

Then I should be able to take some more interesting courses senior year. I'll still need a history class, and 1-2 math classes to knock off my minor, and I'll need to take Computer Networks and Information Systems. I'm eyeing a Cisco networking class as an elective. Looks like I'll just be able to scrape by with my major and minor to graduate on time. The University General Education requirements are a real time killer.

I see, well those courses listed sure are 3rd year level ones... I guess I was expecting to see more genetic/molecular bio-oriented courses, does UT have molecular biology major?

Going into my first year of High School.
Woot Woot!!!

Taking:
Math
Math
Math
MAth
Math
Science
Science
Science
Science
Science
Science
Science
English Honors
Latin.

Really fun schedule.
Just in case you're wondering, it's a Magnet Program for Math and Medical Sciences.

nabhan Jul 23, 2006 08:41 PM

I'm starting High School as well, but in Canada that's the 10th grade. I'm not exactly sure how everything is panning out, but since I'm doing Pre-IB, it's a pretty straightforward process.

DP = Diploma Preparation which basically means it's an IB course I believe.

Math 10DP
Math 11ADP
Science 10DP
English 10DP
History 10DP
French 10DP
Drama 10
Biology 11A

Basically, my only choices were Math 11 or 11A, to choose between Art, Drama, or Music, and what my one elective would be. I hate Biology, so I figure I'll suffer through it for a semester and take Physics and Chem as my two IB courses. I don't NEED Bio, but I figure some framework in all three is nice.

Dullenplain Jul 23, 2006 09:41 PM

I'll be starting my last year as an undergrad this fall, and for that semester, I have a relatively thin schedule:

CHI 604 - Accelerated First Year Chinese - for my foreign language credit. I am not too enthused about this because last semester I tried the beginners class and was forced to leave because I know too much for that class level.

GEO 371C - Tectonics II - the only geology elective I thought was interesting that was offered this semester. I also like the professor and the subject matter.

GRG 334C - Environmental Hazards - The last of my non-geology electives I need for my degree. This class deals with the stuff Discovery Channel will show to garner ratings: natural disasters.

M 316 - Elementary Statistical Methods - I could have taken a second geo-elective, but that conflicted with my schedule and I needed something to fill out my schedule, so I thought it might be useful to learn some statistics.

Overall, despite 15 credit hours (17 can be taken at most despite pressure to take more classes), my schedule is still rather slim since I don't any labs this coming semester (a first). My MWF ends at 1:00 PM and my TTH ends at 3:30 PM.

Adara Jul 23, 2006 10:06 PM

I'm a biology major (pre-med) trying to get my undergrad degree (A.S.) and I'm still in my first year of college. This is what I'm taking this fall:

Nutrition: It's a required course for the school that I'll be transferring to.
Anatomy and Physiology: It's required for my degree and I'm looking forward to it. We have to dissect cats and view an autopsy. I'll have a harder time dissecting the cat.
American Literature: British Lit wouldn't fit into my schedule.
U.S. History Part II: Part 2 to the exciting history of the U.S.! I chose a radical professor that I've had before, so it should be interesting.
Psychology: It's required. It might be interesting.

I'm a nerd.

I WANT TO GO BACK TO GEORGIA TECH. Tech is the shit for gaming nerds.

Second Year as a Comp Media major--as in, I design video games.

Calculus III for Computer Science - Math 2605 - Calc I was tough, Calc II was a bitch but I was told that Calc III was easier.

Introduction to Computational Media - LCC 2700 - Most of my friends in this major have already taken this class. I haven't because the Language Arts Classes are a prerequisite and I didn't take enough AP testing to earn it. It should be fun though.

Intro to Media Studies - LCC 2400 - Another facet to my pursuit for understanding videogames.

Objects and Design - CS2340 - One of the harder CS courses... and I barely made it through Java...

I'm also supposed to be taking a storyboarding class as well as a Health Class, but I have yet to sign up for those classes due to some rearranging.

Retriever II Jul 23, 2006 11:38 PM

Calc III falls somewhere between Calc I and Calc II. It got a little hairy towards the end, but at least they don't make you do all sorts of stupid-crazy integrals like in II. Or series. *shiver*

Dee Jul 23, 2006 11:54 PM

This semester's classes:

Corporate Finance - Some advanced economics course I have to take.

Introduction to regression and statistical computing - More intermediate statistics... yay.

Mathematical sciences research - In continuation of my summer's research under a professor. At least I'm getting credit hours and free A!

Mathematical structure of economic theory - Say what?

Shakespeare - Totally going to audit this one. I love auditing humanities type classes since I don't need them to graduate... just taking them for fun.

Music theory for non majors - Finally a class that sounds like fun!

Ballroom dance - Just because I feel like it.

Going into my penultimate year of high school next year, finally I get free periods... Subjects I'm taking are as follows:

Biology
English language
English literature
Russian
Philosophy
Politics

I plan on quickly dropping out of politics. I dropped a shitload this year - I no longer do German, design, physics, chemistry, religious studies, etc etc etc, and after eight years I've finally escaped having to do Latin. Yay!

Hellscythe Jul 25, 2006 12:09 PM

My final year of high school is comming up, and frankly, I'm glad its going to be over. Lets see, I'm taking:

AP British Literature
AP Calc
AP C++
Intro to studio Art
Civics/Econ
Anatomy

I dropped band this year because I needed the art class since I'm planning to be majoring in it, but I still do marching band on the side. Go band nerds.

Alai Jul 25, 2006 12:50 PM

I will be a junior at The University of Texas at Austin working towards an Electrical and Computer Engineering degree. My courses next semester consist of:

Electromagnetic Engineering
Electronic Circuits I
Engineering Communications
Probablility and Random Processes
Solid State Electronic Devices

Relic Jul 25, 2006 01:08 PM

Going into sophmore year at the University of Iowa. My freshman year was very nearly a disaster (the most important things I learned was that I don't want to major in anything related to computers, economics, or politics, and that everyone who lives in Mayflower dorm is a jerk), but at least I'm finally getting into more interesting classes. And not living in Mayflower. ^_^

http://img233.imageshack.us/img233/8020/scheduleqd9.gif

To decode, I'm taking first year Japanese, Educational Psychology and Measurement, The Foundations of Communication, Accelerated Rhetoric, and a one-hour Conversational Chinese class. Educational Psychology and Measurement and The Foundations of Communication are two of the basic courses in what the University considers a teaching/education track, and the latter also fits in with journalism, which I have some interest in. Like all college students, I'm being forced to take Accelerated Rhetoric...don't ask why I didn't take it freshman year like everyone else, because I don't have a good answer. Japanese and Conversational Chinese should be self-explanatory, and I needed a one-hour course to fill in my schedule anyways.

starslight Jul 25, 2006 03:14 PM

I dropped out of high school in April, so I'll be taking the GED test in August. I could already have it by now, but I didn't have any photo ID for the July test. Then it's off to community college for two years, and then I'll transfer to a four-year school where I can get a bachelor's degree in music composition or American Literature. Since I still have to save up for college and learn how to drive, I'll have plenty of time to choose one or the other, I suppose.

Stealth Jul 25, 2006 04:00 PM

Will finally be starting college at the University of Colorado after taking a year off after High School. Should be good, I'll be an Aerospace Engineering major with the following course list for fall:

AIR1010 - Foundations of the USAF I (With Lab)
APPM1350 - Calculus 1 For Engineers
ASTR1010 - Intro to Astronomy (With Lab)
PHIL1000 - Intro to Philosophy (Had to take a sociology elective..)

Cetra Jul 25, 2006 04:11 PM

I start my first year toward earning my MBA/MPP this semester at Pepperdine University (I have a BA in Information Technology). luckily I did very well on my GMAT so I'm able to avoid taking 5 of the core courses. So this semester it is:

Strategic Analysis and Decision Making
Technology and Operations Management
Information Resources and Technology
Accounting for Decision Makers
Theories and Models of Organizations

I haven't decided on the hours I'm going to be able to take these courses so I do not have the actual course numbers and times yet. I'm rather nervous though. From what I understand this program is far from easy and a lot of material is thrown at you very quickly.

Umm... how is this possilbe? I mean I suppose I could have done this by taking classes at the community college for dual-credit (all I was required to take my Senior year was English), but still...

On topic, I'm starting my Freshamn year of college this fall, and I'm taking these classes:
  • Calculus I
  • World History
  • Computer Science I (with a Lab)
  • Comp I

Happy Cow Jul 28, 2006 12:21 AM

I'll be going into my third year of Chemical and Bioengineering at McMaster University. Two more years of torture to follow suit.

As for the courses I'm taking this fall, they are:

BIOLOGY 2EE3 - Introduction to Microbiology and Biotechnology
CHEM 2E03 - Introductory Organic Chemistry
CHEM ENG 3D03 - Chemical Engineering Thermodynamics
CHEM ENG 3M04 - Mass Transfer and Stagewise Operations
CHEM ENG 3O04 - Fluid Mechanics
HTH SCI 2L03 - Anatomy and Physiology I: Communication

And no, I have no idea what half of these mean. :(

dat_kasu Jul 31, 2006 01:10 PM

I've got holidays at the moment but when they end, I'll start 12th grade at a German Gymnasium (which is the highest school type in Germany and has nothing to do with the gymnasium you do sports at).
My timetable looks like this:
even weeks:
Monday (starting at 9.40am): Maths, Politics, Ethics
Tuesday (starting at 7.50am): Economics, English, German, Sports
Wednesday (starting at 7.50am): Music, Politics, English, Physics
Thursday (" " " "): Physics, Maths, Economics
Friday (" " " "): Philosophy, English, Politics

odd weeks:
Monday (starting at 9.40am): Maths, Politics, Ethics
Tuesday (starting at 7.50am): Economics, English, German, Sports
Wednesday (starting at 7.50am): Music, Politics, Philosophy, German
Thursday (" " " "): Physics, Maths, Music
Friday (" " " "): Philosophy, English, Maths

One lesson consists of two periods à 45 minutes with a 5-minute break between them; there's a 15-minute break after every lesson.
My major subjects are English, Politics and Maths.

Mana Knight Aug 4, 2006 07:33 AM

I have 1 more year to finish my Musical Performance degree. I will be finishing most of my music courses this fall semester, but have to take a ton of electives. I fortunately finished all of my Music Theory classes. The classes that I have to take during the fall are:
-Conducting
-Ear Training
-Performance
-Choir
-Guitar Ensemble
-Guitar Lessons
-Piano Tech
-Math
-History

Man, only a month left to sleep and play massive amounts of video games. I grow sadder each day that nears the first day of classes.

whinehurst Aug 4, 2006 10:09 AM

ha, I grow happier each day school draws near because i'll be able to finially sleep in. Right now, i get up at 6:00am to get to my 7:00am helpdesk job. But once classes start, nothing before noon. It's gonna be a good semester.

But man, you achievers are putting me down, man. Evidently I choose to major in Slacker, cause I don't have to really work on anything, like studying or math problems. Technially I'm an English major at Elon University (you don't know where it is, for serious) with a concentration in Creative Writing, which can mean whatever you want it to mean. I also am kinda, maybe in some unofficial capacity, a digital art minor. But that's just for shits and giggles.

and, as the orginial post requests, my schedule is something like, evenly spaced afternoon's during the week, Senior Seminar (where we are studying Dicken's Great Expectations with onely one other male student) DigiArt III in a brand new building, Psycology 111 (because the English major is so slack, they tell me to take these filler courses and this is the last one i need) and Scriptwriting, which could be kinda cool, execpt I'll have to hang out with Communications majors, who are all deuchebags.

I will also be studying the fine art of sleeping in and doing as little as possible for as long as i can, which is growing less and less (this college thing was supposed to last me for a while after highschool...)

EmpyreanHorizon Aug 9, 2006 11:37 AM

How come from my point of view, even the high school subjects look difficult? It almost makes me feel sorry for my bro who just started 9th grade.

I'm having fun here in med proper: Exams every week, minor tests every day, draining dissections from 8-5 at the cadaver lab, and the biochem professor from hell. Seriously, I'm having fun. Surprisingly I'm happier here than when I took biology in undergrad.
Subjects:

Histology
Gross Anatomy
Community Medicine
Bioethics
Biochemistry
Perspectives of Medicine.

first years have crappy classes. The only interesting thing is that we get to play with scalpels and fiddle with our dead guy while eating crackers and cheese beside him. Yummy!

UltimaIchijouji Aug 9, 2006 03:20 PM

Senior year of highschool. This will be much fun (not).

I haven't gotten my schedule but my classes should look like this:

Academics:
Pre-Calculus 1 (winter) / 2 (spring)
English 7 (winter) / Creative Writing Honors (spring)
Government (winter) / Economy? (spring)
Health (winter) / weight training (spring)

Studio:
Music History
Beginning Guitar (spring?)
Voice 6 (Spring) / Voice 7 (winter)
Senior Chorus

Tests:
Math B Regents
U.S. History Regents
Japanese SAT2
U.S. History SAT2
Normal SAT w/ essay
JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency TesT) Level 3

I really regret choosing to be a music major right about now, since I no longer really have anything to do with music, and I don't even really sing much anymore. Such a waste of time but whatever.

To be honest, I'm quite jealous of you kids who are taking the advanced classes and the ones who are finishing high school early. I went through school hating every minute of it, while doing the absolute minimum work needed to pass. I regret doing this now because I can't truly connect to the people I look up to, and I just plain feel stupid.

I'm going back to college now and changing my major to Programming from Networking, which I (purposely) bombed. After this I plan to take at least one or two classes (like English or Chem) via Distance Learning to redeem myself and get back to learning.

My semester will be filled with strictly programming classes since I've finished all the non-programming requirements from my previous year. Maybe I'll squeeze in a photography or typography class if possible.

Hachifusa Aug 9, 2006 08:39 PM

I'm hitting my second year, and right now I'm a Political Science major. In other words, I'm a tool.

I'm going to be taking only four classes this semester, and none of them are really relevant (except for Econ):
  • Basic Economics
  • Intro to Anthropology
  • Japanese III
  • Music Appreciation
Just a year more until a REAL university. Palomar College, represent.

guyinrubbersuit Aug 9, 2006 09:22 PM

My semester is almost over. It wasn't as great as I was hoping, I kind of slacked off in one class forcing me to take an extension, an incomplete if you will and I had a math class which I deplore. I thought I had taken my math minimum but no. I don't mind math really, it's just at the higher level, it's precalculus if you want to know and then laugh, I get foggy eyed and just stop caring.

My new semster, which starts in about a month, will consist of Vietnam Era, Music Theory, and three projects and one internship. So this time it's pretty much just work to help beef up my portfolio before I graduate which will hopefully be after the Fall semester ends.

I'm starting my freshman year in college in a few weeks. I'm going to try to take it a easy my first semester so I'm only taking four courses

APMA 111 (Calculus II)
CHEM 151 (Chemistry plus labs)
ECON 201 (Economics also with labs)
ENGR 162 (Introduction to Engineering another class with a lab)

Fall semester for me starts on August 23rd. Senior year at North Carolina State. Kinda frightened about going out into the real world when I finish, but it was bound to happen eventually. My official degree title is Business Management - Information Technology Concentration. Kinda like a MIS degree but the main focus is the business side.

Fall lineup:

BUS 305 - Legal and Regulatory Environment
BUS 360 - Marketing Management
BUS 370 - Operations Management
BUS 440 - Database Management
ENG 332 - Communication for Business and Management
PE 102 - Fitness Walking
Waitlisted: PE 256 - Racquetball

I'm trying to take two PE courses because I have an issue with one class I took as a freshman and I have to take a one hour course to substitute for it. Should be a decent semester. I finished up my German courses last spring so I don't have that to worry about. All i'm focused on is doing my best and trying to make this the 4th semester in a row I achieve a 4.0

I started school two weeks ago and have finished 4 classes. My remaining "schedule" continues as follows:

PT140 Post Production Sound [8 hours]
PT104 Mixers, VTR’s, Patch bays [16 hours]
PT201 Pro Tools Production Essentials (TE) [16 hours]
PT111 Intro To Pro Tools Plug-ins and Effects [16 hours]
PT221 Sound Recording Concepts & Techniques [16 hours]
PT222 5.1 Surround Sound Mixing [16 hours]
PT210M Music Production Techniques (TE) [24 hours]
PT211 Pro Tools Studio Session [16 hours]
PT210P Post Production Techniques (TE) [16 hours]
PT225 Editing Sound Effects [16 hours]
PT235 Editing Backgrounds [16 hours]
PT255 The Craft of Music Editing for Post Production [16 hours]

This lasts me until the 18th of December. Then Video Symphony takes a two week break and gives everyone their next mess of a schedule. Also, I didn't include labs, because I don't know when I'll be scheduling them, but I will have 180 hours worth of that in there too.

Sophomore year of high school for me. The classes are:

AP Chemistry
AP European History
AP Computer Science

Much more work than last year, especially when I was trying to get in some relaxation before the hell that is sophomore/junior year at my school :(

I'm still in denial about the end of summer, but here are my classes:

Western History: 1800's-Present
Forensics
Natural Science
Rhetorical Criticism (Capstone :1zhelp: )
Playwriting

I'm a Junior in college and only one and 1/4 relate to my major. The rest are general requirements (which is impossible to finish within 2 years b/c you have to be a junior or senior in order to get into some of the courses) and one is an elective class.

I know it doesn't look like a lot, but all are 4 hour credit classes except for one that lasts an hour a week (Forensics practice). Plus, I am working a 15 hour and 5 hour shift for my technical office and newspaper and there's also the three competitions I have to attend in Forensics and preparing for my semester in Sunderland.

Yeah, I'm sure I'm leaving something out and that's why I'm still in denial.

I attend the University of Houston; currently majoring in Electrical Power Engineering Technology. It's my last year of college, and I'm done with all my labs. I have three courses left, but this last semester is going to be tough. For the first time, I'll be working full time with school at night. I don't know how i'm gonna do it. Have mercy on my grades. I'm gonna do my best. School hasn't started yet, and I already feel stressed out!

College starts up in a couple of weeks time...and I've got to start applying for university as soon as I go back...
I go to Greenhead College(voted best public college in one newspaper), and my A-Levels are Maths, Further Maths and Physics...
I really, really love Maths...I've done the full A-Level Maths Course in one year(it normally takes two years and the Further Maths AS/A Level starts this year).
Matrices aren't as fun as they sound...imaginery numbers own Matrices...

Anyhoo, here's my timetable...

Monday to Thursday start at 8:45 and finish at 15:55, lessons are 70 minutes long...
Monday: Free, Free, Maths, Physics, Maths
Tuesday: Free, Maths, Free, Free, Physics
Wednesday: Maths, Maths, Free (Day ends at 12:35)
Thursday: Maths, Free, Physics, Free, Free
On Friday, each lesson is 60 minutes long, so we have six lessons...
Friday: Physics, Free, Tutorial, Maths, Maths, Free.

I have loads of frees after dropping Economics, although a large number of those will be spent in Maths Help, like most Monday 2nd(doing homework for next lesson) and then me and some friends will normally stay in the Maths room over dinner break after our first Maths lesson...

Wow, the theme of your English Comp class and the Understanding Relationships class sound very interesting. Are either part of your major?

In my orientation binder is a general education sheet with a list of classes you need (some where it says "history choose 2" and lists 6 different courses) All of those come off that for General Ed. But I haven't quite figured out a major yet. I wouldn't mind being a gyno but going to school for ALL those years... I don't know if I have the patience... I could major in Math... I'm great in that and teach... but I dunno yet.

I'm probably going to contact one of the advisors tomorrow to ask when exactly I'm supposed to choose a specific program. I just hope I'm not too late.

Anyway, I'm either going to be in the "Honours Physics" program (ideally), or majoring in physics with a minor in something I haven't decided about yet, most likely mathematics. Assuming I do end up in the honours program, I'll be taking the following courses for the next two terms:

MATH 247 Honours Applied Linear Algebra
MATH 248 Honours Advanced Calculus
MATH 249 Honours Complex Variables
MATH 325 Honours Ordinary Differential Equations
PHYS 241 Signal Processing
PHYS 251 Classical Mechanics 1
PHYS 257 Experimental Methods 1
PHYS 258 Experimental Methods 2
PHYS 260 Modern Physics and Relativity

I'm probably going to enjoy most of that stuff, too.

Ooo. Honours math classes at McGill are brutal. Good Luck, Have Fun. I know a bunch of people that dropped out of the honours program...

I'll begin Cegep this august 28, i'm going in the Fine Arts program. I already did 1 year in it, but I stop for like 1year because I wasn't sure what I wanted. Now I want to go in 3D animation, so I'll finish my DEC in Fine Arts (I still have 2 years to do >.>) andafter that do an intensive year in 3D animation probably at N.A.D. center (national animation and design center) or at the Ubisoft campus

I still don't have my schedule (will have it this Sunday) but I have only 11hours of school this session because I already some class, so it will be relax this session ^^
